Hôtel Central Bastille — Hotel in Paris

To be honest i don’t think the ratings here do it justice, but this was the best value place to stay I could find in Paris at a decent price. The rooms were not big but a fair size for Paris, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The best part is the location, Bastille is a lively neighbourhood and the hotel is right by the metro. A two star hotel with a five star heart and service. Although it looks a bit run down, this hotel is safe, clean and comfortable. You won't find better value for your money anywhere in Paris. And you can't beat the location— just a stone's throw from the Bastille metro station and a hop, skip and a jump from the Gare de Lyon. Great location but in the summer heat, the AC doesn’t work at all. We were stuck with bearing 23 degrees in our room the entire time and were told that they have central AC all over the hotel even though they have different units in each room. Doesn’t make sense at all. Dated hotel with the smallest shower I have ever seen in a hotel. You couldn’t even reach down to scrub your feet!!
