My husband and I just arrived Paris from London on Jan 28,2017 , and we stayed at this hotel for one night and flying back home the next day. When we walked in this hotel, a Chinese lady in her 30s helped us checking in. (later confirmed with the other staff) Her name is Catherine. She is the rudest person I have ever met in my life.
When I walked to the front desk , Catherine said hi in a monotone and glared at me. Made me feel soooooo uncomfortable and unwelcome. She didn't say welcome, or even just a smile to show me what a normal human being would do. Nothing. Standing there waiting to see what I am going to say. I told her I have a booking at this hotel and handed over my passport etc. (Around 12:30-12:45 when we checked in) Catherine said check in time is 2pm, the guest who stayed in that room is already gone, but for cleaning will take around 1.5 hours. Silence, didn't offer what service they can provide to us?
So I said well my husband and I are going to Disneyland right now. We are not going to wait for the room to be ready. Could we drop off our luggages here and when the room is ready you guys can send it to our room? She replied yes. Nothing more.
Then my husband asked her where should we put our luggages + 2 keepall?
The moment she ROLLED HER EYES and told us they are keeping it in their specific area and it's very safe. Blah blah blah, my husband and I looked at each other and we are so shocked, never had such bad experience before. We were just wondering where we should leave our luggages? We are not gonna leave it at the lobby and walk away without knowing who's gonna take care of it right?
When we return to the hotel, only a Caucasian man was working at the front desk. So I asked him if I could have my hotel room key and our luggages. He looked at me and put both of his hands to the temple behind the eyes , acting like a psychic. And said "so you think I would know who you are without knowing your name? But let me guess, are you the wongs?" I just didn't bother to say anything back. I am totally speechless. WOW!
Indeed this hotel is so beautiful. The room and bathroom are spacious. Honestly without that 2 staffs I think I would enjoyed a lot more.
If I stay at a 1-3 stars hotel I wouldn't have any expectation. But for a 4.5 stars hotel, there's a...

It was my first time in Paris and I wanted to ensure that our group was located in a somewhat central location. Hôtel d'Aubusson is a 5 star hotel and it shows. The rooms were larger than expected (given Paris standards, and being so close to the central Île) and the staff were overall friendly and informative. Prior to our trip, I reached out to the concierge to make dinner reservations, book a private car service to the airport and book museum tickets to make our trip a little bit easier. Coralie at the concierge services always followed up with me quickly and executed my many asks perfectly, always giving further recommendations. The other staff were always helpful, attentive, and engaging.
The rooms and bathroom are immaculate and comfortable and were such a nice place to wind down at the end of busy days for our extensive, 6 night trip. The jazz in the evenings was such a magical treat and our group made the most out of it enjoying cocktails and live performances. The breakfast food buffet options were also amazing.
Last, the hotel is located in Germain-dus-Pres which is an amazing area full of bars, restaurants and plenty of shopping nearby. It's also not that far from the Notre Dame Cathedral, a short 10ish minute walk to the Lourve and is overall a great, pedestrian-friendly location.
Don't think twice about it, just book...
Read moreOne of the rare few perfect hotel stays I have had! Everything about this hotel is fantastic.||Our room was a loft with two bedrooms, and it was the perfect size for the 3 of us. My daughter enjoyed her little twin bend in the alcove. I also made use of the day bed downstairs in the common area. Like everything else in Paris, the room was compact but very efficient and had all the necessary amenities.||Staff was exemplary, no false notes. Special thanks to Kamal at the bar for his fantastic cocktails and Lakshman & Reschad at the door / lobby who were always so warm, gracious and helpful, no matter what the need. The entire front desk staff and concierge were very professional, kind and courteous throughout the week, and housekeeping left the room immaculate each day with nice little touches at turndown service whether it be little chocolates or fruits.||The location, in the heart of the bustling 6th district, can't be beat, but you're also in the quiet and peaceful confines inside the hotel. We were a 15 min walk from the Louvre, the Orsay, and the Luxembourg gardens to name a few.||Restaurants within and adjacent the 6th district were generally very good, lots of different options to choose from each day.||Highly recommend this hotel for your stay, as a couple or small family, you won't be disappointed. I would give this hotel 6 stars if I could, it's one of the very best we've...
