I stayed at this hotel during a recent week-long trip to Paris and had a very good experience. The hotel is located in the larger Marais district, but is closer to the Place Bastille. It is convenient by Metro, either from the St. Paul station (about a 6-7 minute walk) or the Bastille station (maybe 5 minute walk). It is located on the main street through the area - Rue de Rivoli/Rue St. Antoine and my room faced the rear of the hotel so I did not have any noise issues. The hotel is a 3-star hotel so it is clean, comfortable, safe, but not a lot of frills, which was all fine by me. The pictures on the website are an accurate portrayal of the rooms - they are not large, but are comfortable. The bathroom was also big enough and well-equipped. The hotel is also safe as you need your room key to access the front door as well as the elevator and the lobby is staffed 24/7. One of the great things I found during my trip, which included 3-4 days of a serious heat wave, is that the air conditioning works very well and kept the room very cool and comfortable when the outside temperature was at or near 100 F. Another plus was a machine in the lobby that dispensed cold water to fill up your water bottle before heading out for the day. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Overall, I would recommend for a Marais...
Read moreOverall stay was wonderful! |We stayed here with my family for one night from Geneva and it was great. Location was good. It was closed to Saint Paul’s Church and Bastille Church. There are a lot of stores, pharmacy, boulangeries, patisseries and metro nearby. Very close to bus stops too. It is 30 minutes away from the hotel to Eiffel tower. Arc de Triumphe, Gallery Lafayette, La Louvre museum. It will take more than an hour to walk to the main attraction places but it was worth the walk as there are a lot of things to see and explore around. The hotel was good. You have to push the buzzer before you can get in the premises. The receptionist will give you a room card, access to the front door and more instructions. Ice is available just ask someone at the lobby. They also have vending machines for quick snacks and breakfast is also served at the lobby you just have to pay extra also city tax will be ask to pay upon checking in. Elevator and stairs is accessible. Hotel staffs are friendly and accomodating. The room hallway is narrow but the room is a descent size with nice french windows and quiet room. 2 beds are available one queen size and a single bed for a family is pretty descent. Washrooms and room is very clean. Kettle, hairdryer and airconditioned room is available. I highly recommend this hotel for...
Read moreGreat location, small (as expected) clean room. A few things we didn't love. 1) The bathroom door had no lock or latch and slowly slid open. 2) The pillows were too large, and forced you to sleep further down the already short bed - I am 5'6" and my feet stuck off the end! 3) The noise transfer from other rooms was too loud. We could hear the woman clearly in the next room when she made phone calls. Noise from the street was great - very good windows. After check in I received a welcome email saying our comfort was there utmost priority, and to let them know if there was anything they could do. So I replied about these 3 items and never received any response, which was disappointing. I never pushed the issue with the staff on site. Also there is no room safe. Breakfast was ok for the price we paid and included bread/pastries, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereal and hard boiled eggs. But the coffee from a machine was not very good. It was also a bit strange to share the breakfast room, with the "front desk" person who was lurking over us. FYI - there is no front desk, just a person with an iPad, who...
