This hotel is overall very disappointing. It's easy to be fooled by the photos which seem charming enough, but actually you'll meet several annoyances during your stay here: poor service, poorly regulated temperature, and very poorly soundproofed rooms. For this purpose I have attached my own photos of the hotel. The reception area is pleasant enough. However in the rooms, the walls are thin and the windows are not soundproofed at all. We had many sleepless nights here (loud mopeds in the street, shouting, loud relations in the other rooms, crashing and banging next door, and general noise all night). I would go so far as to say most nights we got very poor sleep. Beds were ok. Mornings were disturbed with machinery and pneumatic drilling. Inside the hotel, our "do not disturb" sign was routinely ignored and reception would make a point of calling the room if we said no thank you to the maid (due to total lack of sleep). More disturbances! We decided upon consideration that this hotel must falsely inflate their reviews. Many of the poor reviews receive a sassy, discrediting reply, with little professional sincerity, much like the attitude of staff during a stay here. Extremely hot temperature in the room too through the night, and the night reception told us they are "not allowed" to change the aircon setting to cool, JUST in case other guests might get cold. We were sweltering. No complimentary normal hotel items, such as cotton buds, cotton pads, shower caps or even a nail file - I asked specifically and was told "not really". A totally empty "Rituals" branded toiletries tray, they instead use generic shampoo and handwash glued to the wall in a plastic container, and very stingy offering of teabags. To our relief, we booked Hotel Maison Nabis for the latter part of our Paris stay and it was by far superior and far...
Read moreOverall, my stay was ok but I am disappointed compared to the website and reviews I had read. This is not a 4 star hotel concerning the rooms and service, it is a 3 star with a sauna. Though there were some good sides, I was upgraded and the girl who checked me out today was very professional. But that's about it. The room is terribly outdated, I mean for a 4* hotel it was really bad. The old pink decorations are in total opposition with the leopard carpet on the stairs. And then there is the service... the guy who was at the reception at night didn't even look at me when I came in late, I mean this is not only unprofessional, it's just rude. The woman who checked me in yesterday, needs some training in hospitality, she has seriously no idea how to professionally check someone in. When I entered for check in, she looked at me up and down and said nothing, like if I had entered the hotel by mistake. Then she said "you do know our rooms are not ready yet", to then tell me 2 minutes later "ah your room is ready". There was no glass of champagne like others have mentioned, no mentioning of the sauna, I mean it was just below my...
Read moreThe hotel is absolutely delightful! It really has it all, location, ambience, comfort, amenities, great staff. I arrived very early in the morning and the lovely lady checking me in was so kind and caring that she arranged for my room to be readied first thing and in the meantime I was offerred coffee and somewhere comfortable to hang out. I ended up being able to have my room from 9am! The room itself was so lovely with beautify artwork and soft furnishings. The room has a minibar and there are several grocery stores a short walk away along with lots of nice restaurants and casual eateries. The bathroom had a bath and shower and separate WC. Nice large towels and luxurious amenities. There was a handwritten note and welcome gift waiting on the bed when I arrived along with yum french caramels on the pillows. The location is beyond perfect, metro close by, walking distance to the louvre and place vendome, also lots of great shopping including galleries lafayette, chanel etc. The staff are always there to help you should you need it. You will love...
