Pros: Clean; modern design; 20 min walking to Louvre and other nice walking areas
Cons: Super noisy street, which makes it pretty much impossible to work or sleep with the windows open. Rooms do not have refrigerators. They didn't do turn down service (make the beds, new towels) on our first day and we had to go to reception at 4pm (after leaving the room at 9 am) to ask them to do it. Basically in the financial district, lots of bankers walking around at noon and 1 pm, many restaurants closed at 2pm because they cater to the employee lunch break.
We asked for an extra water bottle and they charged us 50 euros (see attached receipt) -- ended up getting the fee waived, but 50 euros for a water bottle is exorbitant.
Our cards were constantly de-activated; we had to ask for new cards ~5 times during a 4 night stay.
Certainly not worth the price. We stayed at Le Deux Girafes prior to this and it was infinitely better. Highly recommend that hotel over this one. J by REPLY TO HOTEL- edited
A few points of clarification, as you should not tell untruthful statements:
you did not clean the sheets on DAY 2 after night 1, NOT the day we arrived, as you imply. The sheets were clean when we arrived, but the room was not made on the second day after we had already slept there the first night. It was 4pm and you had the whole day since we left the room at 9 am. A simple apology will suffice, not twisting the truth. We complained and received free breakfast, as also noted on the receipt.
we did not pay the 50 euros for the bottle, because we complained and had the item removed. You still charged it to us, as if a bottle of water is worth 50 euros in any world. This is greed.
the street at night is very loud. The building across is large and augments the noise of car engines and motorcycles. You hear partiers going to the club and...

Read moreI had so high expectations before going to Paris partially because of think about booking this hotel!! But I was upset in the end.
We had asked to submit the survey before checking in to share our request, and we also filled out in the form while booking that we would like to have the room with balcony, but the hotel did not give any feedback if we were able to get it. In the end, they said the hotel is so full, they were not able to give us any room with balcony.
One of our cleaning lady was so mean, you would feel that she pretended not speaking any English, she just ran into our room while we were still in bed, and we said we were not ready yet, she pretend not understanding anything and keeping cleaning…. That was terrible!!
But there are some good things from the hotel:
The reception staff was so friendly and helpful; Free sauna access Great location
I really hope that they can train their cleaning ladies better, and give customers feedback even they can...
