Our recent stay at Monsieur George Hotel & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. Perfectly located just off the Champs-Élysées and a stone’s throw from the Arc de Triomphe, this boutique hotel offers a rare combination of elegant design, warm hospitality, and deeply personal service.
From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt more like cherished guests in a private Parisian residence than customers at a hotel. The atmosphere is both stylish and soulful, with beautiful interiors and a serene energy that instantly puts you at ease. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a room on the top floor, complete with a private balcony and postcard-perfect views over Paris – the kind of room that makes you want to stay forever.
The service was seamless throughout. Every request – no matter how particular – was met with enthusiasm and efficiency. A special touch for us was the firm mattress arranged ahead of time for my wife, who had recently undergone shoulder surgery. It made a real difference. We also had access to the serene spa and sauna, which proved to be a perfect way to unwind after long city days.
A breakfast worth waking up for One of the many highlights of our stay was the breakfast. Not only was it beautifully presented and filled with fresh, high-quality produce, but it also included one of the best gluten-free bread selections we've ever come across in a hotel setting. My wife, who is gluten intolerant, was absolutely thrilled by the delicious homemade gluten-free bread – it was so good, we honestly would return just for that. This kind of thoughtful inclusion speaks volumes about the care and detail put into every guest experience at Monsieur George.
The heart of our stay – Helene Garnier While the hotel itself is stunning, it’s the people who make it extraordinary. And at the very heart of that is Helene Garnier, the Guest Experience Manager.
Helene is, without exaggeration, the gold standard for guest care. Her warmth, empathy, and natural ability to connect go far beyond professionalism – she embodies hospitality in its truest sense. From the first emails to our check-out and beyond, she treated us not just as guests, but like long-lost friends. On her day off, she generously offered to guide us through her favorite local spots in Montmartre – showing us “her Paris” in the most genuine and heartfelt way. It’s rare to meet someone who so clearly loves what they do and radiates that passion with every interaction. If every hotel had a Helene, the hospitality industry would be forever changed.
And let’s not forget Christopher A special mention also goes to Christopher, one of the most efficient and caring concierges we’ve ever encountered. Nothing was too much – he managed everything from hard-to-get dinner bookings to securing last-minute entrance to the Dior Gallery during Paris Fashion Week, despite it being fully booked. His knowledge, creativity, and calm professionalism made everything feel effortless.
In summary Monsieur George Hotel & Spa is not just a place to stay – it’s a place to feel seen, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. With its luxurious charm, excellent breakfast, and some of the best hospitality professionals we’ve ever encountered, it easily became our favorite hotel in Paris. We will absolutely return, and we owe a heartfelt thank you to Helene, Christopher, and the entire team for making our stay unforgettable.
With sincere gratitude,
Daniel...

Pros:
• The staff’s customer service was exceptional. Every interaction with the team was pleasant, and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Special shoutout to Greg, who stood out for his warmth and hospitality. • The restaurant is not only visually stunning but also delivers great drinks. A definite highlight! • We stayed in a second-floor room with a balcony. The high ceilings (about 10-12 feet) added to the spacious feel, and housekeeping was a standout, cleaning our room twice a day—an extra touch we really appreciated. • While the room was a bit tight, this seems typical for Parisian hotels, so it didn’t detract from the experience. • The in-room technology was impressive, allowing us to cast services like Netflix and Amazon directly to the TV. The built-in Bluetooth speaker system was also a great and useful addition. • The Wi-Fi was top-notch. I did a Speedtest in the restaurant and was impressed by speeds over 100 Mbps, making it easy to stay connected. • Thoughtful touches like in-room treats, coffee, and a welcoming Parisian dessert from the staff made our stay feel personal and warm. • Housekeeping truly excelled, keeping our room (203) impeccably clean. I’m quite particular about bathroom cleanliness, and I was pleased to find everything spotless—no mold, stray hairs, or clogged drains. • It was a delight to return to the room after exploring Paris and find small treats left by housekeeping—a lovely surprise each time. • Overall, our experience was excellent at this boutique 5-star hotel. Having stayed at other 5-star properties, I can confidently say that Monsieur George holds its own with consistently outstanding service from check-in to departure. • The location was perfect, right in the heart of Champs-Elysées, which made everything easily accessible, from dining to shopping.
Room for Improvement:
• Soundproofing between the rooms and the hallway could be better. It sometimes felt like being in a large house where you can hear almost everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway. Some sound dampening would significantly improve the comfort level. • The square pillows were a bit unusual and took some getting used to. This might just be a personal preference, but I found it challenging to get comfortable with them. • The bed was a bit on the smaller side, though this may have been specific to our room.
In summary, Monsieur George is a fantastic boutique 5-star hotel in an ideal location with excellent staff and thoughtful amenities. A few small improvements in room soundproofing and bedding comfort would make it even better, but overall, it’s a top-tier option for a...
