We stayed at this hotel from April 1st to 5th. The check took in a little longer as we reached the hotel late at night and there was only one front desk person who was helping another customer. As we were 2 couples, they assigned us rooms next to each other which was nice. The rooms looked recently renovated as everything looked new. However, we noticed that there was a lot of open space in the hallway after entering the room (in front of the bathroom) which wasn't utilized well as there was no closet or place to keep the baggage. They provided a very small cabinet for hanging the jackets and other clothes but it also had the ironing board and the iron stored there. They also had some open coat hanging section which didn't make sense. The flooring in the room is very hard and thin (kind of similar to plastic mat) and it is difficult to walk on it bare footed. One of the rooms (407) had USB-A and C outlets everywhere but exactly the similar room (406) didn't have any. the bathroom door of 406 didn't close unless you bang the door against the frame and we complained about it the next day and it wasn't fixed till we checked out. The hotel doesn't provide any complimentary water bottles in the room and there is no mini bar in the room either.
We complained the next day that air conditioner wasn't working and they did send people to check it out but couldn't fix it. on the 3rd day of our stay they told us AC wasn't operational as they are technically still in winter. However, they did provide us lighter blankets (to replace heavy duvet) and a small fan to cool down during the night.
Right after we checked in, we noticed that they didn't have any hand soap or body lotion, tissues or any other toiletries (shower cap etc.) in either of the room. ON checking with the front desk staff, we were told that their supplier hasn't been able to supply the soap and that why's they didn't have the soap. Even though they did provide one small soap bar for one of the room, they couldn't provide it for the other room for the duration of the stay.
The location of the hotel is close to tourist places such as Check Point Charlie and some restaurants (15 mins walking) but there are not many caffes or pubs or restaurants close by.
Even though the front office folks were very respectful, they couldn't solve some of our problems.
Their breakfast was ok but it was the same for all 4 days we stayed there. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, sausages and bacon with other deli meant, cheese and cereals, breads etc.
Overall the stay was good but left a lot...
Read moreThe location is very good — calm, central, and well-connected. The rooms are comfortable and functional, which makes for a pleasant stay overall.||However, several aspects were quite frustrating.||The Wi-Fi is deliberately limited and only suitable for basic tasks like emails or low-resolution streaming. To access a proper connection, you need to pay €9.50 per day. I was genuinely shocked that a “business” hotel in 2025 still charges for full Wi-Fi access. What’s worse, once you’ve selected the free option, upgrading to the premium connection is unnecessarily complicated.||The staff are friendly and international, but they don’t have the authority to make any decisions. Early check-in, late check-out, room upgrades? Absolutely not. They simply follow Courtyard policies and explain that they have no flexibility.||According to those policies, only Elite members are entitled to free premium Wi-Fi, upgrades, and flexible check-in/out times. For everyone else, nothing can be done. Even the standard check-out time is earlier than in most international chains — 11:00 AM — seemingly to make elite members feel more privileged by comparison.||Another downside: there are no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby. If you need water, snacks, or essentials, you’ll have to use the hotel’s in-house food corner, where every item is priced like it’s from the minibar.||In summary, this hotel is a solid choice if you frequently stay at Courtyards for business and have elite status. In that case, the Berlin location is a convenient and reliable option.|But if you don’t have membership status, there are better options available...
Read moreI always share honest opinions, including any negative experiences, but in this case, there was truly nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect!
We recently stayed at this incredible hotel in the heart of Berlin. We’ve stayed in different hotels on previous visits to Berlin, but this was hands-down the best experience we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth, quick, and incredibly welcoming, setting a fantastic tone for our stay.
The room was stunning—modern, spacious, and absolutely spotless. I've honestly never seen a hotel room so clean! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. Despite the hotel’s central location, we couldn’t hear a thing from outside, which was a real bonus (we stayed on the 5th floor, though).
We usually don’t have breakfast at hotels, but we gave it a try on our last morning and truly regretted not having it every day. SO TASTY! The buffet was replenished until the last minute. The variety and quality of options were outstanding, and the breakfast staff was very attentive.
Special mention to Ms. Moerman, whose service was exceptional. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel incredibly valued as guests. Her kindness and professionalism were remarkable. Additionally, we extend our thanks to Mr. Aleksei for his very kind and professional service.
Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. With its amazing location, luxurious rooms, and outstanding service, we can’t wait to come back! Huge thanks to the entire hotel staff. Highly...
