Low quality, unauthentic food with a lot of sugar
The prices are ok and the ambiente too, but the food itself is lackluster. I went there in a big group and everyone was disappointed in the end. I ordered tofu with leek and got a plate with a tofu block straight out of the plastic packaging with a little bit soy sauce on the plate and a cut spring onion. We had a seaweed salad, that was also just one, you can buy in a supermarket, put on a plate. By the color and lack of taste it also seemed like it was quite old. One other guy ordered filled buns (baozi) and we were surprised by how small they were. One order included 4 of these and each one was barely bigger than my thumb. We had cooked aubergines, pepper and potatoes. This dish used exactly the same sauce as another dish, which had fried fish with some veggies. The problem was, that this sauce was so sweet, that you could barely taste anything else. Every other taste the ingredients could have delivered was just dominated by the pure sugar taste that overwhelmed our tongues. We could experience a similar thing with yellow curry, that another guy ordered. Usually a curry sauce consists of coconut oil and some indian spices. In our case again you had to get your taste buds crippeled by an enormous amount of sugar. The funny thing was, that the guy, who ordered this dish, was afraid of it being too spicy, because he didn't know how spicy this curry would be, but that was no problem at all. I think we also had 1 or 2 other dishes, that fell into the same category. The most positive thing were the 2 soups we had. I didn't try them, but the others told me, that "it was ok, but they expected more, regarding the size of the dish and also regarding the taste." So at least we had something, that was "ok".
I go to a lot of asian restaurants and specifically Chinese ones, because i have some Chinese friends and additionally Chinese restaurants usually offer the biggest amount of options out of all asian cuisines. This restaurant is not targeted at Chinese people, because Chinese food usually is a lot less sweeter than German food and also authentic Chinese food offers a lot of different distinct tastes, so that everyone can find the perfect dish for himself. Our dishes all tasted the same. The even bigger problem now is, that the food was even too sweet for all the German guys, so it seems like the food also does not work for ...

Arriving to dine alone I was quickly shown to a table and was given a menu. After a few minutes a server took my order of a drink and a main course. I then waited 40 minutes for my food. At one point I was asked to confirm my order but no explanation for the wait was given. At the 40 minute mark I signaled to the waiter who just said from a distance "it's coming" and then went and got my food. Keep in mind at least one table who arrived after me got food in this time. When the food arrived I asked if it was normal that it took 40 minutes and was told "the kitchen is really busy". Looking around the restaurant I estimate it was less than half full, the server noticing me looking to see how full the place was said "there are a lot of takeout orders". Obviously I don't know if that was true.
The food itself was average for Chinese food.
The cost was low but the slow service and no attempt to help for a longer than expected wait was disappointing. I wouldn't...
Read moreI went here for a treat to end my trip, I would like to note that the waiter spoke and understood me perfectly. I ordered singapore noodles without the beef, she clearly wrote no beef and underlined it, she showed me the paper. I do not eat beef for religious reasons. I asked for there to be chicken added instead of beef. She clarified it would still be the same price, I said that would be fine. When the meal arrived the meat looked suspicious but I ate some thinking it might be pork , it definitely wasn't. The same waiter came to collect the plate at the end and asked if I didn't like it, I asked what the meat was and she said 'chicken, beef, pork and shrimp'. I said I clearly asked for no beef and she chastised me and said "next time say no beef or ask for no meat". This wasn't a language barrier. We communicated perfectly. I don't appreciate the blame being put on me like I did something wrong with my order, lucky I didn't have an allergy. Now I've spent the last night in my hotel feeling sick and throwing up. I haven't eaten beef for...
