I wanted to give feedback on the bad customer service I received while I stayed in Titanic Chausse Berlin this week. The guy in the reception (Karimi) asked me for payment, I explained that I have booked using a Travel agent and it should have been paid by them or they would have sent the payment details already. He said he can’t see any payment details in the booking. I spoke to my travel agent they confirmed they have sent the details and they will call the hotel to confirm. I went back and spoke to reception again, he said they will have to check with his manager, so he went inside to talk to the manager. I was waiting for about 10 minutes for him to come back, the others working in the reception was constantly starring at me like I did some mistake (E. Bitte and E. Keisebech) they were not friendly at all. When he came back, he just said his manager said no he didn’t give any proper explanation. So, I called the Travel agent again they said they have been trying to call the hotel, but no one answered, they asked me to pass the phone to reception, When I asked Karimi he said he will ask his manager to come out. I was waiting for 10 minutes while the travel agents were on call with me (It was an international call) but the manager still didn’t come out, I had to ask the reception again, they went inside to talk to the manager, and she came out 5 minutes after that. She spoke to the Agents and hung up the phone and started doing something on the system. She didn’t tell me anything about what is happening for about 5 minutes. Then I asked her if everything was okay for that she simply said “yes” and nothing about the payment or if she is sorting my room out etc. Eventually she gave me my room card but not even a sorry for all the confusion or for taking 15 minutes to come outside and talk to the travel agents while I was waiting there. Every single person in the reception was so unprofessional, for working in hospitality industry wonder if they have been given proper training. I can see a lot of reviews in google from other about how Rude and unprofessional the receptionists in this hotel are. The next day I went to the reception to ask for the managers name, E.Keisebech was in the reception, he was not approachable at all just starring (same way he was staring at me while I was checking in) at me while I walked towards the reception. He said, the person dealing with me was the assistant manager and her name was Sara. He said I can also complain to him. I can clearly say he was not happy to help or talk to me. (the names might not been spelled correctly by me). They behaved in a racially discriminating way make me wonder if they would have reacted the same way if I was a white German and...
Read moreI recently stayed at Titanic Chaussee Berlin, a modern hotel located in the heart of Berlin Mitte. The hotel boasts a stylish design, excellent wellness facilities, and convenient access to public transportation, making it a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers.
The Good:
✔ Spacious and Clean Rooms: The rooms were well-maintained, featuring a modern design with comfortable beds and ample amenities. The soundproofing was effective, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep despite the hotel’s central location.
✔ Impressive Spa & Fitness Area: The Befine Spa & Sports Club was one of the highlights of my stay. The wellness area includes a large indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath, perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The gym is well-equipped for those who like to keep up with their fitness routines while traveling.
✔ Great Location: Situated in Berlin Mitte, the hotel is within walking distance of major attractions such as the Berlin Wall Memorial and Museum Island. The nearby tram and U-Bahn stations provide easy access to other parts of the city.
✔ Breakfast Buffet: The morning buffet offered a diverse selection of fresh food, from pastries and fruit to eggs and meats. The quality was high, and the service was attentive.
The Not-So-Good:
❌ Service Could Be More Attentive: While the staff was generally polite, I noticed that service at the reception and restaurant could be slow at times. There were occasional delays with check-in, and some guests reported issues with requests being overlooked.
❌ Extra Charges for Wellness Facilities: While the spa is excellent, it’s worth noting that access to some facilities comes at an additional cost, which can be disappointing for guests expecting free access.
❌ Limited Room Amenities: Some rooms lack basic in-room coffee or tea-making facilities, which would be a nice touch for a hotel of this standard.
Final Verdict:
Titanic Chaussee Berlin is a well-designed, modern hotel with great wellness facilities and a prime location. However, small service issues and additional costs for certain amenities may leave some guests feeling that the experience does not fully match the price. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay with access to a fantastic spa and don’t mind occasional service hiccups, this hotel is a great option.

Read moreI booked the Titanic for a four-night stay over Valentine’s Day with my partner. To be plain, I won’t be staying again.
We arrived at around 1.45. We were told that we couldn’t yet check in as there was not a double room (“with a king size”) available for us. We were told that this was required as we were a couple, ho ho ho.
With this in mind, we left the bags and returned later to check in. Person #2 that we encountered on reception was not as helpful as the previous staff member. She brusquely checked us in without providing any details about breakfast or the spa.
When we got to the room, we discovered that the room was a twin room. Yes, after all that somewhat forward chat about needing to have a double, we were given a twin room. Confused, I rang reception and they told me, without a hint of apology, that this was all they had available. They could ask someone to push the beds together and if I went to reception tomorrow, we could be moved to another room.
So I went to reception the next morning and was told by Person #3 to wait in my room for the next hour as someone would contact me to arrange the room swap. Naturally, nobody rang me to arrange this. So I rang reception and I was told by Person #4 that I could leave my bags in reception and someone would move them into our new double room.
I went downstairs and spoke to Person #5 who was baffled when I suggested we leave our bags to be placed in a new room. I explained again and he verified that “your bags will be in your new room when you return”.
We went out for the day and returned to meet Person #6 who again was confused when I asked if we could have the card for our new room. I was still listed in the old room and our bags were still in reception. But she made some enquiries and managed to find us a double room - one of her colleagues would even bring our bags up for us.
Of course, if you’re becoming familiar with this narrative, you’ll have already realised that this room was another twin room with the beds pushed together. At this point, it became clear that (whether through incompetence or bizarre pettiness) we were never going to be given a double room “with a king size bed”. I gave up.
TL;DR: too many staff members + no communication between them + strange lies to cover up incompetence = poor service.
I don’t want my holiday to be taken up with negotiating over beds and rooms - and I’m not sure...
