I wanted to give feedback on the bad customer service I received while I stayed in Titanic Chausse Berlin this week. The guy in the reception (Karimi) asked me for payment, I explained that I have booked using a Travel agent and it should have been paid by them or they would have sent the payment details already. He said he can’t see any payment details in the booking. I spoke to my travel agent they confirmed they have sent the details and they will call the hotel to confirm. I went back and spoke to reception again, he said they will have to check with his manager, so he went inside to talk to the manager. I was waiting for about 10 minutes for him to come back, the others working in the reception was constantly starring at me like I did some mistake (E. Bitte and E. Keisebech) they were not friendly at all. When he came back, he just said his manager said no he didn’t give any proper explanation. So, I called the Travel agent again they said they have been trying to call the hotel, but no one answered, they asked me to pass the phone to reception, When I asked Karimi he said he will ask his manager to come out. I was waiting for 10 minutes while the travel agents were on call with me (It was an international call) but the manager still didn’t come out, I had to ask the reception again, they went inside to talk to the manager, and she came out 5 minutes after that. She spoke to the Agents and hung up the phone and started doing something on the system. She didn’t tell me anything about what is happening for about 5 minutes. Then I asked her if everything was okay for that she simply said “yes” and nothing about the payment or if she is sorting my room out etc. Eventually she gave me my room card but not even a sorry for all the confusion or for taking 15 minutes to come outside and talk to the travel agents while I was waiting there. Every single person in the reception was so unprofessional, for working in hospitality industry wonder if they have been given proper training. I can see a lot of reviews in google from other about how Rude and unprofessional the receptionists in this hotel are. The next day I went to the reception to ask for the managers name, E.Keisebech was in the reception, he was not approachable at all just starring (same way he was staring at me while I was checking in) at me while I walked towards the reception. He said, the person dealing with me was the assistant manager and her name was Sara. He said I can also complain to him. I can clearly say he was not happy to help or talk to me. (the names might not been spelled correctly by me). They behaved in a racially discriminating way make me wonder if they would have reacted the same way if I was a white German and...

I recently stayed at Titanic Chaussee Berlin, a modern hotel located in the heart of Berlin Mitte. The hotel boasts a stylish design, excellent wellness facilities, and convenient access to public transportation, making it a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The Good:

✔ Spacious and Clean Rooms: The rooms were well-maintained, featuring a modern design with comfortable beds and ample amenities. The soundproofing was effective, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep despite the hotel’s central location.

✔ Impressive Spa & Fitness Area: The Befine Spa & Sports Club was one of the highlights of my stay. The wellness area includes a large indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath, perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The gym is well-equipped for those who like to keep up with their fitness routines while traveling.

✔ Great Location: Situated in Berlin Mitte, the hotel is within walking distance of major attractions such as the Berlin Wall Memorial and Museum Island. The nearby tram and U-Bahn stations provide easy access to other parts of the city.

✔ Breakfast Buffet: The morning buffet offered a diverse selection of fresh food, from pastries and fruit to eggs and meats. The quality was high, and the service was attentive.

The Not-So-Good:

❌ Service Could Be More Attentive: While the staff was generally polite, I noticed that service at the reception and restaurant could be slow at times. There were occasional delays with check-in, and some guests reported issues with requests being overlooked.

❌ Extra Charges for Wellness Facilities: While the spa is excellent, it’s worth noting that access to some facilities comes at an additional cost, which can be disappointing for guests expecting free access.

❌ Limited Room Amenities: Some rooms lack basic in-room coffee or tea-making facilities, which would be a nice touch for a hotel of this standard.

Final Verdict:

Titanic Chaussee Berlin is a well-designed, modern hotel with great wellness facilities and a prime location. However, small service issues and additional costs for certain amenities may leave some guests feeling that the experience does not fully match the price. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay with access to a fantastic spa and don’t mind occasional service hiccups, this hotel is a great option.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)

Would I stay here again? Yes, but I’d be mindful of the extra charges and...

I booked the Titanic for a four-night stay over Valentine’s Day with my partner. To be plain, I won’t be staying again.

We arrived at around 1.45. We were told that we couldn’t yet check in as there was not a double room (“with a king size”) available for us. We were told that this was required as we were a couple, ho ho ho.

With this in mind, we left the bags and returned later to check in. Person #2 that we encountered on reception was not as helpful as the previous staff member. She brusquely checked us in without providing any details about breakfast or the spa.

When we got to the room, we discovered that the room was a twin room. Yes, after all that somewhat forward chat about needing to have a double, we were given a twin room. Confused, I rang reception and they told me, without a hint of apology, that this was all they had available. They could ask someone to push the beds together and if I went to reception tomorrow, we could be moved to another room.

So I went to reception the next morning and was told by Person #3 to wait in my room for the next hour as someone would contact me to arrange the room swap. Naturally, nobody rang me to arrange this. So I rang reception and I was told by Person #4 that I could leave my bags in reception and someone would move them into our new double room.

I went downstairs and spoke to Person #5 who was baffled when I suggested we leave our bags to be placed in a new room. I explained again and he verified that “your bags will be in your new room when you return”.

We went out for the day and returned to meet Person #6 who again was confused when I asked if we could have the card for our new room. I was still listed in the old room and our bags were still in reception. But she made some enquiries and managed to find us a double room - one of her colleagues would even bring our bags up for us.

Of course, if you’re becoming familiar with this narrative, you’ll have already realised that this room was another twin room with the beds pushed together. At this point, it became clear that (whether through incompetence or bizarre pettiness) we were never going to be given a double room “with a king size bed”. I gave up.

TL;DR: too many staff members + no communication between them + strange lies to cover up incompetence = poor service.

I don’t want my holiday to be taken up with negotiating over beds and rooms - and I’m not sure...

I spent three days with my partner in January '23 at the Titanic in Chausse Strasse and I must tell you that it was a hotel that surprised me for the very high quality of the service and for the kindness of the staff; all aimed at making those who stay there feel comfortable . 🛌 The room we booked, despite not being among those of a superior category, was spacious, spotlessly clean, with furnishings and supplies that were not only linear and modern but extremely functional. Particularly pleasing was the fact that we found the room at a pleasant temperature (in winter given the cold outside these things are appreciated so much!) , that it was soundproofed and that the air heating was not noisy thus giving a silence that allowed rest and intimacy. Every day it was then carefully cleaned, the beds made, the used towels changed, the consumed tea/coffee/sugar returned (in fact, there is a kettle in the room and a choice of tea and coffee). The room cleaning service was in fact active from the early hours of the morning (if you think they wake you up with their vacuum cleaners, you are wrong, silence reigns here in this hotel) ☕️ The breakfast service (which takes place on the 1st floor of the hotel, where there is a huge room reserved only for breakfast) was the one that struck us most, whoever books the Titanic will understand what I write. In this hotel you can have a breakfast that for variety of preparation I have personally never seen in my life. In fact, if the different tables with food offer a real diversity (from the choice of different types of fruit to the fresh preparation by a chef of eggs, pancakes, scrambled eggs) the quality itself of food is very high. To be clear, the ham was an excellent Italian ham, the fruit was sweet and ripe, the freshly baked bread was crunchy and tasty, the smoked salmon was fresh and of excellent quality, the dried fruit was well preserved, etc. Quality and quantity go hand in hand here. Then the presence of waitresses who go around the tables to see that everything is in order completes what is a 5 star service. 🔚 I will not dwell on describing the atrium and relaxation area as soon as you enter the hotel: they are beautiful and scenic. In short: In this hotel you can relax after long tourist walks through Berlin, this is the perfect starting and arrival point where you can recharge your batteries and take care of yourself and your partner.

I recently stayed for three nights at Titanic Chaussee Berlin, and it was an experience like no other! From the moment I arrived until my departure, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness and attention to detail are unparalleled, setting a new standard for what I expect from hotel service. The breakfast each morning was a highlight of my stay. An impressive spread of delicious options catered to all tastes, ensuring a delightful start to the day. Every meal was a feast for the senses, showcasing the quality and variety of the offerings. Additionally, the hotel’s complimentary fitness classes were a fantastic perk. I participated in these daily activities, which were a great way to stay active and meet other guests. The classes were well-organized, engaging, and suitable for various fitness levels, making them accessible to everyone. Overall, my stay at Titanic Chaussee Berlin was remarkable. It combined luxury, exceptional service, and unique amenities, providing a memorable experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough to anyone visiting Berlin and looking for accommodation that goes the extra mile.

Beautiful reception lobby and very nice lobby. Room was nice but a few things that I would mention is that only one side of the bed had a side table and electrical outlet. The doorknob to the bathroom was tricky and the door and the closet and bathroom door all open into the same space so it could get a little chaotic with two of us moving around the room. Nice restaurant on site that we did not eat at - but it looked nice and was always busy. We also didn’t use hotel breakfast because we enjoy walking the neighborhood and finding a little cafe to enjoy. We did use the pool and it was beautiful … but cold. There was also a man wrapped on only a towel sleeping snoring with his legs spread wide open in a poolside lounge chair , so that was extra uncomfortable and we didn’t stay long. We did enjoy the private Turkish Hammam room and would highly recommend you do that. The pool is €20 each person per day so make good use of the space !
