As one for giving a fair review where warranted unfortunately Apartments Berlin have fallen way short of expectations and so this review will reflect what our true experiences were.||||Before submitting this review I’ve tried to contact Apartments Berlin several times but to no avail.||||Upon arriving at the apartment we were warmly greeted by Ruth although we were expecting her husband who speaks English. This isn't to say that we didn't learn some German before going but when something is promised we usually expect it.||||Purely by chance my Wife inadvertently dropped in a couple of Spanish words whilst we tried to understand what she was saying and all of a sudden we were able to communicate.||||Having sorted out the basics we were left to ourselves.||||It became apparent that some expected facilities hadn't been provided such as either an oven or a microwave so we had to make do, in a self-catered apartment, with a two ring halogen hob, no frying pan, no sharp knife and very few utensils.||||There was a dishwasher but no spare tablets and not wanting to buy a full box and leave most of them there we had to wash up in a very small sink with no drainer.||The Wifi was almost non-existent unless you stood in the bedroom near the back wall and even then we were lucky to get 1 or 2 bars of very intermittent signal as the router was quite clearly in another apartment, the TV never worked because the aerial was next to the TV and received zero signal, the beds had foam mattresses so as a result we never had a decent night's sleep, there was little to no space on one side of the bed so access was very limited and there were several areas where the decoration was less than decent with cracked tiles, the door falling off the fridge and a shower head that sprayed water everywhere except on you. ||||The only set of drawers in which to unpack clothes was filled with spare blankets and bed sheets still in their wrapping.||||There was also no bath. The latter was something we were definitely expecting as the Wife was looking forward to an ice bath to help her recover after running the Berlin Marathon.||||We've tried to contact the owners via the company we booked through only to discover that they no longer deal with them. The original link from their site (Go With Oh) displayed a lovely spacious apartment with a bath and seemingly everything we needed. The reality was something far different and they’ve knowingly taken money off us under false pretences.||||When making a booking please double-check what you're getting as we feel we've been financially disadvantaged and currently have no...
Read moreThis wonderful apartments are located in Mitte with great public transport connections: just in front of the building there is the "Naturkundemuseum" underground station, 200 metres away you have the tram that brings you directly to Alexanderplatz. ||You can reach easily all touristic attractions while staying in a quiet and trendy area. ||These lovely apartments are fully renovated, you will find everything you need to cook something simple in the kitchen, the style is very personal and has a Colombian touch. Some of them have a balcony and you can enjoy in the patio seating area when there is nice weather in berlin. The owners are really nice, they will help you in...
Read moreDespite having a room looking out on the road we spent four very comfortable and peaceful nights in one of these beautifully appointed and cared for apartments. We were made to feel very welcome by the manager Ruth and also by the other gentleman whose name I didn't catch. ||There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants just along the street as well as a supermarket. You are right y the entrance to the Naturkundemuseum station on the U-bahn line 6 so public transport options couldn't be better.|||We will certainly book here again if (as we hope) we get a chance to explore more of...
