Despite that this was my first time visiting Sheraton Frankfurt Airport, I very much enjoyed my stay because of the comfy and homely atmosphere that it offered me. I felt like returning to my home-away-from-home. This property got my big ticks on a number of aspects - location, products and services - with which I found deeply satisfying and fulfilling. First, its unbeatable location. It was located right next to terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport, with direct connection to the terminal building as well as the Flughafen Regionalbahnhof (for S-Bahn) and Flughafen Fernbahnhof (for long-distance trains) which made exploration of Frankfurt and other German cities effortless. To me, the greatest advantage of choosing to stay at an airport hotel was to save the time on commuter transport to catch the flight especially the very early morning departures. After checking out from Sheraton it just took me five minutes to walk to Terminal 1 and, together with the waiting and travelling time for the shuttle bus, less than 15 minutes to Terminal 2. Second, its unbeatable products available to Bonvoy Elite guests. In addition to having priority access to premier rooms or suites, in-house staying Bonvoy Elite members could also enjoy at the Sheraton Club complimentary breakfast, all-day snacks and beverages, and evening alcoholic drinks plus selected canapés. In line with the mission of the Sheraton brand, this Club served as a perfect hub for leisure and business guests to chill, relax, connect and be part of a holistic community. I pretty much enjoyed its spacious environment and absolutely tranquil ambience. The spacious Club suite room that I stayed was located on the top floor with an unobstructed view of the Frankfurt Airport runway and terminal building. Everything in the room was fully functional and well maintained. Likewise, thanks to the attentiveness of the housekeeping team, my requested amenities were set up in totality and the daily room make-up was perfect. Third, and the most important of all, its unbeatable servicing standard. I was immensely impressed with the hospitality of the entire team at Sheraton Frankfurt Airport with a focus on the individuality of each guest. Both the Front Office and Sheraton Club teams took great care of my stay and were terrifically friendly, helpful, welcoming and accommodating. As role models of the Sheraton brand, all associates having contributed to the seamlessness of my stay were truly hospitality professionals who earned my highest recognitions. They included, just to name a few, Georgios, Jennifer, Elkhan, Helen, Marios, Kristina, Begim etc. I highly commend each and every one of them, for having devoted their very best efforts to prioritising the satisfaction and positive experience of all guests including myself. In particular, I was in deep gratitude to Nay from the Sheraton Club for his passion, dedication and professionalism towards bringing the finest servicing onto the table. Nay not just heard but listened to my concerns and feedbacks with heart. Instead of merely seeing things he intended to observe with utmost consciousness and proactiveness. Nay paid attention to the fine details and, on behalf of the Sheraton Club, closely followed up with the relevant teams on my requests to make sure they were promptly and properly fulfilled. He is among the best and most professional hotel servicing agents I have come across for years. On my future returns to Frankfurt, no matter for travels or simply for flight transits, Sheraton will definitely continue to be my choice of...
Read moreHad a few stays here, after the last time I would not recommend it: Service at reception desk and breakfast area is really friendly breakfast selection is good Location is great when working and closest distance to trains nice comforting smell at the entrance, which I was told is their signature Sheraton perfume (I like it as it reminds me of Spa/ Wellness)
+/- gym: there are some treadmills (4-5?) but other appliances are very limited for instance for legs just two different ones. Depending on the time it can get really crowded and people are waiting to just get on any machine. After 6:30 AM you should expect some waiting times. The gym is small, but it gets the Job done to get some movement in early in the morning.
depending on the Room/ floor, there have been some nasty smells on the floor (might be because there are constructions going on right next to the Hotel at the Airport?) the requested Hotel receipt contained incorrect information, even after several requests both at the reception and different departments of the Customer Service, I was always forwarded with my inquiry to different allegedly responsible people in charge - the back and forth took me several weeks including the Hotel sending me still incorrect/ incomplete Hotel billing invoice receipts - each version had something else wrong or missing like Tourist tax etc or wrong date of arrival/ departure. In the end they managed to e-mail me two separate invoices one solely for Tourist tax and one for other Hotel expenses. However, the Customer/ Company Information was different on each. Really Not sure though why they could not manage one correct Hotel receipt from the beginning with all billing positions on one page (as they also did for my previous business stays). I got even connected to their IT and Accounting department, they seemed annoyed and told me it would technically be impossible to have one single invoice receipt - not sure though why it worked in the past. at the last stay, the shower handle was broken/ âopenâ and parts of it were missing, it worked though to get the water to run and shower also not the cleanest rooms when looking closer (hair in the sink upon arrival), can be ignored though if not too picky
â the state of rooms, I would have ignored for my short stay and I initially did not intend to complain at all, as it was a business related stay; however the process of receiving a correct invoice was horrific â even if the personnel working in the breakfast area and at the reception has been always very kind and supportive; for service Iâd just give 1 out of 5, as it has been really demanding and draining to just get one correct AND complete hotel...

I booked about 3 months in advance and chose Sheraton based on convenience. There are a lot of hotels in the area but Sheraton and Mariott are the only ones which are pretty much " in" the airport so no shuttle service needed. As I said, I arrived by train and the hotel is 1min walk from the train station and super easy to find. The walk to Reception is a rather long one, but there is staff positioned to welcome and guide you to the right place. To get to check in for Sheraton you have to walk through the bar and dining area, which can be confusing. Check in was quick and friendly. As it's an airport hotel English is the main language even if you identify as German(staff will switch to German if needed). They ask everyone which airline they fly with and provide information on the terminal and how to get there. They also ask when you will check out...i giess so they can tirn the room around quickly. My room was on the 6th floor and a bit of a walk from the lift which I don't mind..I don't like being too close to lift. The carpet in the corridor is a bit thick so with heavy suitcases it's a bit of an effort. The interior including the lift show their age, but it's all clean and working. The room was clean and a good size. Nothing special. Free water was available, everything else had to be ordered through room service. The bed was very comfy and I slept well through the night. Couldn't hear the airport at all despite having views of departing planes...great noise insulation! Unfortunately my TV remote didn't work and so I couldn't access the menu or anything..the controls on the TV itself were very limited. I decided to walk to reception with the remote to see of they could organise a switch but at that point (10pm) it was so busy I just let it go. Instead I went to the bar and had a cocktail. Staff were very friendly but the cocktail was terribleđ (Gin Basil Smash) - will stick to beer next time. The kitchen closed at 10.30pm but there were bar snacks available. I used the express check out by just dropping my room key the next morning and jumped on the shuttle bus to T2 which is downstairs from the hotel...very convenient again. Overall good experience for what it is and it met...
