The worst hotel choice!!!!! Disappointing!*
I emphasize; my negative review was deleted!!!!!!!!
Of course, the hotel looks different in the pictures, appearing clean and luxurious, but when you arrive in person, you are surprised if you have any expectations, and we certainly did. At first, we thought the navigation led us wrong… then we realized it didn’t, and that this was indeed the place… fine… we got out of the car in a rather dark street and entered through some kind of hallway. We were stunned because, I repeat, we followed the reviews (now we know many of them were probably written by their own people), and it was also semi-dark inside… My colleague asked about parking… the man at the reception, informally, said to go down the street and park there or just leave the car on the street, which was terrible because the neighborhood reminded us of the Bronx… and what about the luggage? Any trolleys for transport??? Terrible… Another colleague, seeing a garage further down, asked if we could park there… money was no issue!!!!… the man said we couldn’t… We decided not to leave the car and our things on the street… we would have ignored everything else… I asked the man for a refund, and he gave me a cancellation receipt stating the transaction was canceled. But it wasn’t!!!! They took the money…!!!!!
None of us will go bankrupt over €170, but we want to warn others considering this hotel to be careful not to face the same situation because it’s very unpleasant to look for another hotel with parking at 3:00 in the morning… luckily, we found one quickly. Thank God. At the Hampton, they offered us to stay until 2:00 PM to rest due to our long journey and asked if that was enough after such a bad experience.
All of you who rely on reviews and find them important as I do, be cautious and check before going to the Brunnenhof Hotel in Munich!!!! We are awaiting the hotel's classic response that the disputed parking needed to be reserved… so… we reserved everything, which is why I’m disappointed!!!! We travel a lot, we are business people, and we don’t nitpick, but this is outrageous!
Additionally, the behavior of the hotel owner or manager was not right. They should have refunded the money or allowed us to stay, even if they had raised the price, so a warm piece of advice—due to the deletion of reviews, make sure to check booking reviews and anywhere else on the internet… I sincerely hope no one else will experience...
Read moreMy recent stay at Brenenholf City Center in Munich was undoubtedly the most disappointing hotel experience I've ever encountered, and for valid reasons.
Firstly, the hospitality left much to be desired. Despite my late arrival, the check-in process was anything but welcoming. Instead of an access card, I was given a key with a cumbersome medal attached. This unconventional approach was frustrating, and to compound matters, my room lacked a safety box for securing valuables. When I questioned the receptionist about this and expressed concern for the security of my belongings, I was met with indifference. He insisted that leaving the key at the reception was standard procedure, without providing any satisfactory explanation. This meant that every time I left the hotel, I had to wait for him to retrieve the key from a communal safety box, which was both inconvenient and unsettling.
Our conversation, which initially proceeded in a civil manner, took an abrupt turn when the receptionist suddenly raised his voice in front of other guests, abruptly ending the discussion and suggesting I speak with the manager the following morning. This unprofessional behavior was unacceptable.
Furthermore, when I suggested leaving the key in the room, the receptionist rudely refused, insisting that I was responsible for returning the key and medal. He even went so far as to keep them beside him, and said when coming from outside you can pick it back. It was a bizarre and unsettling interaction that left me feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied.
Additionally, the following morning when my friend and I went to enjoy breakfast, we encountered further disappointment. Despite numerous empty tables, some of which could accommodate four people, a staff member approached us and insisted we move to a smaller table for two. While we had already begun our meal, her manner was less than courteous.
Given the cumulative issues and lack of satisfactory resolution, I decided to cancel my reservation and seek accommodation elsewhere. I found another hotel in the same area at a comparable price, and the contrast in quality and service was remarkable. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Brenenholf City Center based on my experience, and I strongly advise seeking alternative...
Read moreI'll start with the good things. The rooms are very clean and the staff is really nice and helpful. But, the hotel is very old-fashioned, still using regular keys, no automatic doors at the entrance. Very old elevators (2 separated) Same breakfast everyday. Still using tokens for breakfast. The rooms are very poor. Not even a glass to put the toothpaste 🤣 No coffee machine... Basically nothing but bed and a shower 🚿. The hotel location is in the center of town which is good but the specific street does not feel very safe. And the price was high compared to other places in Munich. Over 200 Euros per night with extra charge for breakfast.

I would like to answer Mr. Rainer Mauer, Manager first regarding the hotel described as "Old" , yes, I think the pictures you show in booking looks must better then the original basic things such as electronical key to the room seems too much to ask? lifts, very big and old, slow, and buttons need to be pressed 3 times (at least in my floor which was the 1st floor) - it can be very safe but still not as it should be in the hotel glass - "paper glass" hygienic as it is cannot hold toothpaste or toothbrush coffee at reception ? too bad you didn't mention on my arrival Security - I did have some problems but I didn't want to write it in my review, and the noise at night was terrible regarding breakfast - I did ate breakfast everyday in the hotel , too bad you didn't check before you reply the reason I book with your hotel (with high price) was because I thought when you pay more you get more... but that was my mistake, I payed more...
