I recently visited this place and ordered the grilled chicken and beef kebab—both were truly delicious, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. However, the sides completely ruined the experience. The French fries were soggy and lacked flavor, and the Brot (bread) served with the meal was as cold as ice cream. I brought this up with the waiter, hoping for a replacement, but was simply told, “This is all we have.” That level of service was disappointing.
While the main dishes were impressive, the poor quality of the sides and the unhelpful response from the staff bring the overall rating down to just 2 stars. The ambiance doesn’t help either—there’s no proper dine-in atmosphere. The seating area is right by a busy, crowded street, which makes it far from relaxing. It’s much better suited for takeaway.
On a separate visit, I tried the Shawarma for takeaway, and that was quite good—so if you're looking for a quick bite on the go, it might still be worth a try. However, my dine-in experience was far from satisfying. To top it off, the waiter even asked for a tip despite refusing to replace the cold bread and fries. Overall, very...
Read moreRestaurant is located in a busy central location close to main station and has a large menu catering variety of Middle Eastern cuisine. We visited the place on couple of occasions.
This place is usually full and recommended to make reservation beforehand. Atmosphere isn't cozy and Ambiance is below paar. Coming to menu, Arabic Lamb Shawarma teller was best and super tasty with bread, meat, sauce and salad all combining to give a perfect juicy taste so highly recommend. Unfortunately the other two dishes failed to impress us. Lamb Minced meat kebabs were slightly burnt and the crispy chicken felt too dry like with no taste.
Service wise, on the second occasion, our order was served with a gap of more than 20 minutes between two items we ordered and highly unprofessional attitude from waiter. At first, waiter even lied to us that payment with card isn’t possible and then changed his stance when told that we paid by card last time. They even charged us extra 4 euro for Briyani rice which they initially told to only pay 1 euro extra to serve with kebabs.
Overall I must say, I am disappointed with this customer service and...
Read moreThis particular branch of Sindbad is supposed to be original and the best Sindbad, however it didn't turn out to be such. First of all, the one taking our (we were a group of 4) request wanted us to tell him fast what we were to order. Secondly it looked as if he was not interested in taking our order. Thirdly, the items ordered for three came, but I didn't receive mine even after my friends had finished their meal. In fact the waiter looked oblivious to the meal not served. After telling him that he could cancel my order, he realised that he didn't serve mine. Apparently my plate was kept near him, which he then served due fully. The food was barely warm. From the food aspect, I think it was generally okay, though nothing to speak highly of. If the service was better, the taste too would have been better. I am not sure if the service is always like this. If it is, I wouldn't recommend it. I was going through other reviews and their service is taking a hammering. If the management doesn't want to improve service, customers may choose to stay away...
