From the time we walked in the hotel, we were welcomed by the very friendly and accommodating staff. The room we got was on the Ground floor. We are a family of four including a 14 year old and 12 year old.

The room was just perfect for us, it has two levels, the other room and bathroom is on a lower floor accessible via spiral staircase. Logistically, the lower room was perfect for our kids but my wife preferred us to be there. We had no problems going up and down the staircase and we are not in our best shapes but I will not recommend the lower floor for those with knee problems. There is a small kitchen/dining area and it has a stove and everything else you need to cook if you need to cook. There is a coffee maker which I love since I love drinking coffee. It has plates, drinking glasses, coffee cups, spoons, forks, knives, etc. It is an eco-friendly hotel and I was amazed to learn that the tap water was drinkable. I was hesitant at first but we were fine specially me who has sensitive stomach. It saved us money too from buying bottled water during our stay there. It was also nice and convenient that they have an iron and board available and stored in a closet that us accessible with your room key. There is a roof access where you can enjoy the view of the Acropolis! This is probably the only hotel where the photos were not misleading. I had coffee up there one evening and it was relaxing.

The location of the hotel is excellent too! It is a very short walk to the Plaka area so we had no problem finding a place for food and shopping. It is also within walking distance of Syntagma Square and the Acropolis and other attractions. We had to take a taxi to the Acropolis because it was very hot when we were there but we walked back to the hotel after our visit at the Acropolis and we loved it because we were able to see other nice neighborhoods.

Why not a full 5 stars rating? I always think nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement. In this case, the only thing I can think of is that they do not have breakfast available in house, but it is really a very minor thing. You can order breakfast and it can be delivered to the room and as I mentioned, Plaka is right there where there are many restaurants to choose from.

Hapimag Resort Athens is located in the Plaka area which is a great central location for easy access to the main sites and tourist attractions. It is in a quiet street within easy reach of local restaurants, tavernas and shops. It is also well located for the main transport links although a taxi to the door is probably the easiest option if you have a lot of luggage.||||The resort is small and consists of a few apartments with a reception area and limited facilities although it does have an excellent roof terrace with seating and direct views of the Acropolis which is great for breakfast or an evening drink.||||Apartments are neat and well-furnished and are kept clean and in excellent condition. Small kitchenette area with hob and oven and cooking utensils sufficient for breakfast and basic self-catering. There is a coffee machine and a kettle and a microwave available if required.||||No parking, but altogether very handy for a city break...

My family and I had a truly amazing experience at this resort. Not only was the location extremely convenient and surrounded by some of the best local sights and restaurants, but the staff was undeniably the kindest and were as attentive as possible. They did an amazing job settling us in, offering to clean our room and change the sheets and towels every day. I had even forgotten one of my favorite bracelets in one of the bedrooms and didn't realize until I had returned all the way back to New York. When I called to see if it had been found, Hapimag's wonderful resort manager, Kiki Psichogios, had already set it aside and packaged it for me. She was so sweet and made the kindest offer to even send it to my home address at no cost. I would most definitely recommend staying at Hapimag in Athens and will be sure to visit again! It was truly phenomenal and...

I’ve enjoyed staying with Hapimag ever since I was a child and once again it was a very nice stay! We had a very nice room with a balcony with the most perfect view. The room was really clean and it had everything we needed. The women at the reception are really helpful and very kind. The location is perfect, we did not use any transportation during our stay, we did all of our sightseeing, grocery shopping, going out for shopping and dinner, etc. by foot. The airconditioning works really well, which is very important since it’s 35 degrees Celsius outside. If I visit Athens once again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again!
