Hub Suites, Luxury living in Athens — Hotel in Athens

We stayed in the penthouse, S5. It was fantastic! The views are spectacular for the price. Getting into the hotel room was easy, just a few steps from the metro entrance. We were given an entry code to the front door and another entry code to the key lock box to our room. Communication with management was excellent, and housekeeping staff were friendly and visited daily.

The elevator goes to the 4th floor, and the penthouse is accessed by a short stairwell to the 5th floor. The hotel's laundry facility is also there, so no neighbors.

Water pressure was good and the indoor shower was usually quite warm. The outside patio has lots of lighting. Electrical plugs are available throughout the living space. The bed was comfortable. Doors and windows are of new construction and seem quite secure. The unit has a lot of privacy and we enjoyed breakfasts out on the patio. Street noise was slightly audible but mostly in the background so it was better than expected. The little kitchenette was nicely outfitted and included a microwave and various pots, pans, and glassware. We liked that the hotel provided a large French press coffee maker. There is a room safe, but not offered as a feature of the room so it is not operable. We did not use the outdoor shower but I can imagine on a hot summer night some would find it pleasantly refreshing (and stimulating for the neighbors….. )

Avoid Hub Suites & Booking.com! Our reservation was randomly cancelled without notification or cause. This was booked six months in advance and when I went online to confirm check-in procedure a few days before it says the reservation was cancelled. Contacted booking.com and they confirmed they had all the credit card information and that the card should have been charged. I confirmed my email address with them and it was correct. No call or email....just cancelled! It appears to me that they had the ability to get a better rate then ours and decided to cancel our reservation. The lady at booking.com did confirm that I DID NOT cancel the reservation but refused to say how or why it was cancelled. We had to scramble to find other accommodations four days prior to our trip! Booking.com will not allow to you to leave a review. Buyer beware! NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE BOOKING.COM OR STAY...

Firstly the service was excellent and prompt. Konstantina was great arranging a car for our airport pick up and drop off and allowed us to store some of our luggage whilst we did an overnight trip to Meteora. We stayed in S1 with the indoor bath tub and S5 the studio which has a fantastic view of the Parthenon. The outside area is large and fairly secluded. S1 has a city view from the front and the Parthenon can be seen from the bedroom which is wonderful at night. The location is perfect. Acropolis is 10 mins walk. The Metro station is directly outside the building and My Market supermarket is 4 mins walk and Lidl is about 15 mins walk. We’ll definitely be staying here again.
