A fully vegan restaurant that serve lots of options for vegan greek food. From their menu we took the Buddha ball with seitan, the mushroom burger and the seitan warp. From the 3 dishes the mushroom burger was our favorite, the soft mushroom burger was delicious although it kinda fall apart as you hold it, the bun was soft and came with lettuce and tomato (only thing would improve it if there were pickles inside), the next dish we like was the Buddha ball with quinoa and veggies that were well seasoned and the salad dressing was tasty, the seitan unfortunately felt a bit dry and under season and really need some dipping sauce on the side or above it. The last dish we tried was the gyros, it came in a warp fulled with seitan and tomato. The bread was soft but the dish felt really boring and missed some verity of veggies like onion, lettuce, etc to spice it up and give some taste to the seitan. Food** We ordered the Avocado, Seitan, and Quinoa salad and vegan seitan gyro. The food here was absolutely delicious. The Seitan was done just right, so it was crisp and not too chewy. The sauces were flavorful and the meal was very healthy. We particularly enjoyed the Seitan sandwich as it felt akin to what a schwarma gyro would be in typical Greek restaurants, which was nice to get to experience in Vegan form! They also had a great selection of coffee/cappuccinos with almond/soy or oat milk, and some delicious vegan desserts, though we were too stuffed to try any.
Service** Food is prepared fresh right behind the counter in full view and quickly. They speak English fluently and can answer any questions you have about the menu.
Atmosphere** Very cute small cafe style restaurant with one large table to sit family style and a small countertop with some seating.
Price $ Everything under 10 euro. Very well priced considering how good...
Read moreI had heard good things about Peas before arriving in Athens, and made sure to let my vegan family know about them! Upon visiting, we were happy to find that they are indeed VERY good!
I promise, even if you're not a vegan, you'll still find the food here absolutely delicious! I loved finding a place in Athens with takes on traditional Gyro and Kebab plates/wraps that not only taste very legit, but also taste better than a lot of regular places with actual meat!
All of us loved the food here, where the service was additionally friendly, attentive, and quick!
The location itself is a tad bit unassuming from the outside, but there is some dining space inside (although it also is a good take-out option).
Peas vegan satisfied my cravings as a non-vegan and my family members cravings as vegan alike - I highly recommend...
