The hotel is run by a family that clearly has no hospitality background. The 24 hour reception is a lie; they wait for the last guest to come back and then lock the doors. If you return late you will find them sleeping in the lobby where once you step inside, an alarm will wake them up to give you your keys, which you are forced to leave to the reception before you go out. If you want to go out during the night you have to go to the lobby so as to activate the alarm and wait for them to come down and unlock the door. Lobby is always noisy with children, wifi not working, worn out linen; dirty towels with hair from previous guests and sheets with yellow stamps, ripped curtains with red stamps (blood?) and the list goes on... Last and most important, the “housekeeping” will enter your room even if you clearly state that you do not want them to, and may throw things you need away without checking if it’s...
Read moreI really like this little hotel. The young couple that run it are lovely. I've stayed 3 times now . It's located in a great position. I usually stay on the 5th floor, that room is great. Two terraces. Amazing view from the room too. The linen is always crisp fresh & white. The towels are soft ,fresh white & actually cover the whole body. The beds are comfortable. The pillows too. Ruddie supplies & lovely breakfast. Yoghurt, bread, cakes, pastries, boiled eggs, jams, honey , tea , coffee, fresh fruit , cheese , ham etc the breakfast room is again on the top floor. My last stay I had a small room with 2 single beds. The bed frames are wooden so watch out for your legs. It's a bit tight for space but with only me it was fine. The water is always hot & shower pressure good, although the lack of a shower screen or curtain makes the floor a little wet. As I say I have a fondness for this...
Read moreWe stayed here for 11 nights in September. Small family run hotel in a very quiet side street but only 100 metres from both the beach and town centre, location is superb. ||Family run hotel and all staff are very friendly and helpful, even at 2.00am when we arrived. ||We stayed in room 301 which we found to be very clean and tidy but is a bit dated. Bedding and towels were changed every other day !! Not a great view from our balcony but we did know we had a "city" view. ||The only down side to our stay is that the lift is not working, the receptionist told us that it hadn't been working since they took over the hotel. We were on the 3rd floor and had to climb 6 flights of stairs to access our room. Not a major problem for us but could easily be for visitors with a medical condition etc...||We did not eat her so cannot comment on the...
