Pension Mylos — Hotel in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

It was unclear how to check in. We didn't see email instructions or anything at the building, so my partner sent a message. Lucas asked to take our passport for "three or four hours." I said I wasn't comfortable with that, and Lucas photocopied them immediately, so I didn't understand why they wanted to hold them. There were two single beds. This was the hardest mattress I've ever felt. I barely slept, and I woke up with back and neck pain. The space between the furniture was so narrow that I had to sidestep just to pass through. The toilet paper was so close to the toilet that it was touching me when I sat down. What an absolutely fantastic place! I just can highly recommend it! The owner, Pella, is probably one of the very most friendly people I've ever met in my whole life. She really makes you feel like home, e.g. she took me to a restaurant serving typical Cretan food. We walked around and checked different places, until a place serving the "Traditional Cretan Pie" was found - amazing. The rooms are very clean, equipped with WiFi, a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The central location is great, you can hear the sound of the waves during the night and watch the sunset on the sea from the balcony. A nice and clean city beach can be found nearby....

I stayed at Pension Mylos in September 2023 and it was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and had everything I needed, including a stunning sunrise view over the sea. Pella is a fantastic warm host who checked in with me regularly. She just lives downstairs and is available in case guests have questions. The pension in a few minutes walk away from two beaches and the center of Agios Nikolaos where you can find various cafes and restaurants.
