This is a small hotel on the outskirts of town, but well within walking distance of shops and restaurants, and even the archaeological site if you are relatively mobile. There was ample parking across the street. ||The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and updated. The hotel as a whole was quiet, though we were able to hear noise from the street even with the windows closed and the AC on. We found the mattress to be fairly uncomfortable, but not so bad that we couldn't sleep decently. Breakfast is an additional 7 euros/person, if I recall. We opted not to have it because by Greek standards it seemed fairly limited: eggs, toast, jams, yogurt, and juice. That's not a terrible spread, but having stayed in dozens of hotels in Greece it's also not an especially robust one.||One other thing we noticed was the complete absence of natural light, which felt odd in a country that has such spectacular sunshine. The patio outside the room is large and has a table and chairs, but it is separated from other patios by fake foliage, and it is completely covered so that the sun never reaches the room. ||Anyway, this was an inexpensive place to stay, which we appreciated, and I think it would be serviceable for most visitors...
Read moreLocation: close to everything as the city is small and very "walkable" The town center is a 5 min walk, the site/museum 10 min. ||Room: very nice, modern and clean with a nice veranda to eat breakfast. Adequate amount of plugs (never enough for us, two laptops, three phones, tablet, camera...)||Breakfast: As written in the room, it includes a honest basic breakfast (omelette/jams/yogurt/coffee/orange juice/bread/toast) that gives new meaning to "value for money". Due to covid-19 you get served at your veranda ||Noise: Inside with closed window its fine and quiet, with open window some small "scooters" can be annoying .||Bathroom: Thank any deity you want, the shower curtain is not going to be an enemy and the whole bathroom is very nice and clean.||Wifi: very good||Parking: yes||Communication: excellent, the owner was very polite and with all the info we could need. Don't be shy to ask him about the olympic torch behind him.||Dont forget to check the description of "prytanio" when you visit ancient Olympia.||Overall prytanio is excellent, friendly and at a great location near to sites and town center, and the price is right .|Will try to book again...
Read moreWe stayed at this B&B for one night during our roadtrip through Greece. The B&B is situated at the centre of Olympia at the end of the main street with the shops. The archeological site of Olympia and the musea are within walking distance. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us a lot of tips and information to make the best of our trip. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and modern, but unfortunately the walls were not very soundproof and we could here the guests in the room next door word for word. However, that did not keep us awake. The breakfast was prepared à la minute with fresh local products and it was delicious. We had a...
