Was recently in Greece, Italy, France and Malta with my wife and young children. We went into this restaurant not expecting much since we are accustomed to gift shop restaurants in the US. I can tell you that when we left all four of us said that hands down this was the BEST meal that we had on our trip. Everything is farm to table and as fresh as possible. I watched one employee go to the garden to pick mint for a dish as it was being made. The lamb chops and salads were spectacular. The yogurt and honey dessert was out of this world. It was nice and had trees and shades to protect you from the sun. A nice breeze too.
I had a salad which was pretty good.
There was also a souvenir shop inside the Ambrosia, though I would suggest you to walk to to modern village of Olympia and find nice souvenirs from there.
