Elia Palatino — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

The view doesn't get any better than this. I stayed in the King suite for 4 nights. The view and the rooms were even better than the pictures. The space was very clean and comfortable; and the jacuzzi was so relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of a long day. I thoroughly enjoyed looking out over the Venetian harbor and seeing the sunrise every morning. Getting breakfast at the hotel was always a lovely experience. The chef, Yanna, was especially friendly and made breakfast quite enjoyable. She gave advice about local activities and it was a joy getting to know her. The rest of the hotel staff were also extremely friendly and accomadating. I was visiting Chania by myself and couldn't have asked for a better experience thanks to the Elia Palatino. It's a great location to explore Old Town and the front desk receptionist were always available for any request. Despina helped me plan out a day trip, do laundry, and haggle with a taxi company in Greek. I would definitely recommend a stay here and I cannot wait...

We booked this hotel through booking.com with a balcony and sea view but on arrival we were told that we'd booked a superior room (with no view). We'd shown our email confirmation showing that we'd booked a balcony room but the staff on the front desk were not helpful at all. They were very dismissive saying it wasn't their problem. We were told they'd look into it to try and sort it out for the day after. On asking about this the next day - the staff lied saying that the hotel was at full occupancy and the room we'd booked originally wasn't available. A quick look online showed this was a lie and indeed there was a room with a balcony view.

This is one of my most favorite hotels I think I've ever stayed at. We stayed in the king room, and the view of the hania harbor was absolutely outstanding. It was difficult to tear myself away from my morning coffee simply because the view was so wonderful. The room itself was large, had ample storage space and room to move around, and everything was impeccably clean. The front desk was also very helpful in helping to arrange activities laundry and other various requests. Breakfast was served in a different hotel from the same owners, but was a 1 minute walk away, which was still very convenient, and breakfast was abundant and filling with lots of different options to...
