Klinakis Beach Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

This was our best stay in Greece so far

My agent found this hotel. For me its the perfect location. To close to be far and too far to be close to noisy old town. The beach and location are perfect for a good 2 km walk either way. Mariam, and Ràfaela And of course the Patriarch Kurios Yiannis were super friendly and gave amazing recommendations. The rooms are well appointed but keep in mind it's not the four seasons. Housekeeping was very sufficient and overall the hotel is well kept and clean. Beds a bit stiff Bathrooms smaller side. I had a great view from my balcony. The breakfast service is very good. Could use a bit more variety for longer periods but very sufficient. Coffee is ok but could use a better quality machine. If you want a good Americano or espresso you will not find it. The new breakfast room is amazing and comfy. The Wi-Fi was better than most five star hotels and lighting fast. Given all the concrete I was utterly impressed with quality of Wi-Fi. I had a wonderful stay at the Klinakis Beach Hotel.

Rafealla and her sister Mary run the hotel like a family home. They are incredibly welcoming. The rooms are quiet, modern, smart and clean (cleaned brilliantly by a team of smiley ladies). Bed is comfy and the shower is great.

The breakfast room (bar in the evening) faces out to sea with beautiful views of the bay. Breakfast is also served outside on the terrace where it is cool and shady. Breakfast is incredible: cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, cold meats and cheese, cakes and biscuits made onsite, Cretan pies and hot choices too such as scrambled eggs and sausage. And when you have finished there is a quiet sandy beach just below the hotel, with warm shallow water.

Nea Chora beach, with its tavernas and bars, is a short 10 minute walk and bustling Chania town another 5 or so minutes.

Ignore the one star, the great reviews say everything, it is a very special hotel with lovely staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. I had a wonderful relaxing time and I am looking forward to...
