If you're in Chania and craving a cozy, delicious breakfast spot, Sweet Brunch is a must-visit. Tucked just a building away from where we stayed, this charming café quickly became our go-to morning ritual—and we couldn’t have been luckier.

🥐 Pastries Galore Sweet Brunch offers a delightful selection of local pastries that hit the spot. My wife was all smiles over the sugared donut and the spinach pie—both fresh, flavorful, and authentically Greek. I personally couldn’t get enough of the ham and cheese stick pastry. The chicken version was solid too, but that ham and cheese combo? Next-level comfort food.

🍊 Fresh Juice & Coffee Done Right Watching the staff squeeze fresh oranges right in front of you is a treat in itself—and the juice tastes as amazing as it looks. As for coffee, I went with a simple iced latte: coffee, milk, sugar, and ice. No frills, no fuss—just a cool, refreshing way to start the day or recharge in the afternoon. If you're like me and prefer your coffee without the caramel swirls and cinnamon sprinkles, this place gets it.

👩‍🍳 Warm Hospitality Maria, the owner, is an absolute sweetheart. She’s attentive, welcoming, and happy to answer any questions or accommodate requests. Her presence adds a personal touch that makes the experience even more memorable.

🌊 Takeaway with a View One of our favorite routines was grabbing breakfast to go and heading up the hill toward the sea. Just a short walk away, there are tables nestled under trees right by the water—a peaceful, scenic spot to enjoy your meal and soak in the beauty of Chania.

Absolutely delicious pies and cakes! The pastries are never greasy, and the sweet options never too sweet or heavy.

My personal favourites are the spinach pie and the orange cake. The orange cake has a really nice texture that I have not experienced before coming here. It looks like it might be dense and heavy when you see the outside, but it’s actually very light and refreshing. They use fresh orange juice to make it, unlike other places that use orange flavoured syrup. You can clearly taste the difference. We were lucky enough to stay very close by, but it’s worth going out of your way to taste this one.

They also make a great milkshake and iced espresso, perfect during the hot days.

My boyfriend and I are here on vacation for the first time and we were looking for a bakkery. After a nice walk next to the beach, we saw a super cute bakkery. It is super little but so cute!!
