Ios Grand Pool Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Ios

I was lucky enough to spend one night in these gorgeous suites. I stayed in a double suite which was capacious and with generous features. The suite’s private pool was a great way to escape from the heat of the day. There was a hanging basket chair as well as a double, padded sun-divan to relax in, with the gorgeous view of the ocean and bay.

On arrival I treated myself to an outdoor shower and the next morning indoors, both with great water pressure. The generous super-kingsize bed was very comfortable with the option of an overhead fan for those who don’t like sleeping with the air-con on overnight. There is an indoor bar fridge and an outside entertainment area fridge (and freezer - handy for ice cubes for drinks on a hot Greek island night). The room also has a Nespresso machine and pods. Sadly no milk pods, but had I wanted coffee, I am sure the really lovely Yiota (who speaks Greek, English and German) on reception would have sent me some milk from their bar at reception (offering coffees, juices and drinks as well).

The staff at Ios Palace and Grand suites are amazing. From the moment you are collected at the port by Makis, to Sandy the reception manager welcoming us and Christos the General Hotel Manager always ready with a smile and a greeting. Not to forget Dinos the F&B manager under whose guidance the á la carte breakfast with my friends in another suite was generous and delicious - we had luscious Eggs Benedict, pancakes with melted chocolate and the best French toast ever. Even diary-free, gluten free muesli with coconut yoghurt for my friend.

The hotel amenities include a small, but well equipped gym (with amazing views), a spa (with sauna, jacuzzi and pampering treatments), two pools (over and above the suite’s own), a poolside bar with more amazing views and the best cocktails on the island (curated by the aforementioned multi-award-winning Dinos).

This place would be great for a couple to get away, honeymoon couples and there are larger suites for larger groups....

We, along with all our guests, stayed at the Ios Palace Hotel for our daughters wedding in June 2024 where everyone had a great stay. We rated the hotel and the island so highly that my wife and I decided to return for a holiday without the stress of a wedding in June this year (2025). Deciding to push the boat out and give ourselves a treat, we stayed in the Ios Grand Pool Suites which are annexed to the hotel. The suites have everything you could wish for, beautiful rooms, spacious outside space, comfortable outdoor furniture, infinity pool and glorious views of the bay, plus you have access to all the other facilities the hotel offers. The breakfast service was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for the Chef and the room service meals were really good and reasonably priced (unlike many hotels we have stayed in!!). |We don't intend to mention any staff by name as everyone, from reception staff, spa staff, room service, cleaners, gardeners to bar staff were a joy. A special mention must go to to the manager Dimitrios, he was always around the hotel and suites, always approachable and took the time to ensure that everything was ok and that we were enjoying our stay. Our stay at Ios Grand Pool Suites was pure perfection — one of those experiences that stays with you forever. My wife and I spent three magical nights here in September, and everything about it was effortless, elegant, and unforgettable.

From the moment I booked, Dimitrios stayed in touch — kind, responsive, and quietly making sure everything ran perfectly behind the scenes. The front desk team, drivers, and staff were amazing — warm, attentive, and always one step ahead. From ferry transfers to breakfast delivery and dinner reservations, everything was taken care of beautifully.

And then — the suite. The moment we opened the door, we just stood in awe. The blue of the Aegean, the sky, and our private pool all merged into one breathtaking view. The room felt like a private sanctuary — modern, luxurious, perfectly designed, with every detail polished to perfection. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the whole space radiated calm and beauty.

Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and served whenever we wanted — often enjoyed on our terrace overlooking the sea. I didn’t want to leave that view.
