Overall 4/5. A really beautifully located hotel. Staff were superb in every way. We did have a couple of issues, but it did not spoil our stay. We stayed for 4 nights in early June.||Arrival 3/5. Things didn’t start well. I emailed the hotel twice from a link on their own website, firstly to ask about room availability and secondly about a transfer from the Port. They did not respond to either emails. I know it was the correct email address, as I used the link from their own website. I eventually booked via Agoda.||Check in was swift, friendly and efficient and they kindly offered us a lovely and refreshing welcome drink. They allowed us to check in early and showed us to our room.||Room 5/5. We booked a Junior Suite with sea view. A very large 2 tier room. The upper tier was the bedroom and bathroom and the lower tier was the lounge and wardrobe area. 2 balconies overlooking the beach and the sea - lovely. We sat out every evening after dinner in the mild June weather. Bedside shelf either side with bedside lamps. Plenty of power sockets everywhere. 2 televisions and 2 aircon units. Digital safe. Large fridge with 2 small bottles of water replenished each day. Capsule coffee machine. They kindly brought us a kettle for our tea. Plenty of wardrobe and storage space. Unfortunately, on 2 consecutive days we had to call reception after our room had been cleaned, as they had not brought us any cups, glasses or water and had not replenished the shower gel or shampoo. Not great, but the fab view from the balcony made up for any issues.||Bathroom 4/5. Nice shower. Hairdryer. It did though feel a little tired.||Location 5/5. Stunning. Set on a hillside overlooking Mylopotas Beach.||Breakfast 5/5. Lots of hot and cold choices. Fruits, sliced meats, cheeses, lovely breads and sweet and savory pastries. Everything was well presented. Very attentive staff.||Pool 1/5. A wonderful location with a panoramic view of Mylopatos Beach below. Plenty of very comfy loungers and, as always at this hotel, plenty of helpful and polite staff. Unfortunately the pool water was really terrible. It’s a salt water pool, which is fine, but the pool chemistry was definitely wrong. I was unable to swim in the water without goggles and even with goggles it still hurt my eyes. I spoke to a number of people who also found it awful. I spoke to a manager about it, who said they would look into it. The pool water was the worst I have ever experienced. I hope they sort it out before the peak season when children will be using it, when it could be dangerous.||Overall 4/5. An absolutely stunning location and I never tired of looking across the bay. Lots of great restaurants nearby and a few shops and mini markets too. It’s only a 50 meter walk to get the bus into Chora town and the lovely harbor. This could be a top 5 star hotel, but the attention to detail is lacking and the pool water is shocking. The staff are superb in every way but perhaps the management need to up their game. Despite the awful pool water, we really enjoyed our stay here and could have...
Read moreI’ve made around 15 hotels in Grece and this one is THE BEST I MADE!!
Before the stay, staff is replying very quickly to emails to organise our travel to come from the port to the hotel. You have 4 options driver from the hotel (5€/p) taxi (12€) bus (1,80€) car rental (around 60€/d) The advantage of the driver option is that the hotel check the delay of your vessel (which happens almost always)
The driver speaks perfectly English. It is 10mn to go to the hotel And when you arrive ..... WOUAAAAW!! It is not a hotel it is a city !! You have plenty rooms on a cliff which makes that every single room has a view either on the beach, the sea or both
We were completely surprised to realised that we had been upgraded. From a classic room with partial sea view we went to junior suite. The room was huge with a living room area, a room area, 2 balconies and a bathroom (shower and toilets). All was clean, the air conditioning system worked perfectly and is not too loud !!
About swimming pool... just look the picture you will understand. Both are huge. You’ve got one directly from the beach and one on the top of the hotel with a breathless view on the sea. We always found place for sunbeds with no extra cost!! The hotel give you new towels whenever you want
Let’s talk about the gym (close to the SPA). Located on the top floor it is well equiped. You can train a large part of your body. And as you are high, you have the wind coming from the sea which refresh the room.
Then, cocktails... just amazing. Cheap and amazing it’s crazy. Prices are incredibly reasonable (6€ a gin tonic). Just be informed that the bartender won the price of the best non alcoholic cocktail in 2019. We had room service for food. Pasta with seafood and chicken pasta, white chocolate mousse, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and 2 iced tea. 33€!! Everything was perfect (service, delivery time, professionnalism, discretion and especially food). The breakfast is huge!! You have so many things to choose and from so many different countries...
All the staff is at your disposal at any time. Warm, friendly, professional. They listen all of your request with smily behavior.
I’m really impressed and I’ll coming back.
What they could work on is : the security : I’ve seen children which didn’t’ belong to customers enter the hotel and enjoy the pool details on the room (bar for towels was not fixed, a light didn’t worked, it often smelt sewer) having heavier weights on the gym and be careful of the security on the gym (a bar almost released from the wall).
But all are improve points because everything else is perfect. I will come back for...
Read moreWe stayed at Ios Palace for 4 days in September 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment I started communicating with the hotel via email before our arrival, I was impressed by how responsive and helpful the staff were.||The location is fantastic—just a couple of minutes’ walk to the beach, which made everything very convenient. I was a bit concerned about the number of stairs at the property, but we were given Room #101 on the first floor, which was perfect and easy to access from the lobby.||Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and housekeeping came by daily to keep everything fresh and tidy. Since we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, the hotel kindly upgraded us. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, a fruit basket, and a lovely handwritten note—such a thoughtful gesture!||Room 101 is large and ideal for a family. It has one queen-size bed and 2 large sofa beds in the separate living room, and a stunning large balcony complete with a table, chairs, loungers, and a magnificent sea view. We spent a lot of time just relaxing and soaking in the scenery. The room didn't have a kettle, which would have been nice for making a cup of tea in the morning. Oddly, there were no tissues in the room either. An extra dresser would also be helpful, as drawer space was limited. There was a lack of coat-hangers as well.||The pool area is beautiful, a great spot to unwind. ||We arrived by ferry, and the hotel arranged for their driver to pick us up, which was very convenient.||The bus to Chora town is a short walk from this hotel. ||Breakfast was included and felt quite fancy, with a wide selection. However, my only small complaint would be that there isn't a self-serve coffee and tea station—you have to ask the wait staff for hot drinks. ||One helpful tip: Ask the front desk to make restaurant reservations for you in advance. The popular spots in Ios get quite busy in September, and many don’t answer their phones or accept same-day reservation changes.||Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Ios Palace—especially for a...
