Libyan Princess — Hotel in Municipality of Kantanos-Selinon

Our trip to Crete was booked to travel 2 years ago but due to Covid it was cancelled, our hotels obviously was booked & we were provided a credit for future used .

So finally this year July 2022 , we travelled to Crete for 3 weeks holiday as planned . We landed in Chania & stayed there for 2 days , then moved to our first planned resort in Kissamos / Kasteli & stayed there for a week . Then moved down to Paleochora by bus & finally stayed in Libyan Princess for 8 days.

I don’t do hotel reviews more often , only selected the one that provided excellent service.

Libyan Princess provided a lovely service . Staff friendly from reception, bar staff & also chambermaids . Breakfast was good and our room overlooking the pool & mountain views ..was cleaned , spacious with room facilities .

Great location , and easy access to restaurants & only a few minutes walk to stoney beach & about 10 minutes or so to the sandy beach . We stayed here in July 2019 , and we were happy then , hence the reason we decided to go back & stay here again this year July 2022 .

We are approaching our final day of our 2 week stay at the hotel .|The hotel is a modern exceptionally clean and well run hotel with polite friendly staff . |For our preference although well equipped the rooms at only 20sq m are too small for a long stay, I would say 3 to 5 nights would be the optimum stay here .|There is a definite safety issue that needs addressing . Earlier in our stay I slipped a fell down a flight of marble stairs which were wet badly injuring my back , knee and foot which has turned black and I still cannot get a shoe on .|We have had no form of apology or acceptance of liability from the hotel and no offer of anything as an apology other than bags of ice which is pretty disgusting given it’s ruined at least 3 days of our holiday . |I’ve told them they need a warning sign at the top of the steps and a handrail on either side as a minimum , will they do it ? I doubt it . |As these showers and toilets are frequently used by pool users they should ensure periodic cleaning and drying of these steps also ||They say mine has been the first accident of this kind which I find hard to believe ||Very ready to...

Libyan Princess never disappoints us . It’s a stunning property & we’ve been staying in this property many times or every time we visited Paleochora , last visit in 2016,2019,2022 & now 2024. ||We always request a room overlooking the pool & Mountain View . ||Staff so friendly & welcoming from reception to bar team . |Special shout to our so friendly chambermaid. Kalimera Feli mou !! ||Location is ideal , only minutes walk to all restaurants & to stoney & sandy beach . ||Room facilities : |WiFi|TV|Safety box |Air con |Bathrobe & sleepers |Pool towel . ||For a 4 star hotel ( used to be 5 star ) it’s reasonably priced . ||We were on our usual tour , flew direct to Santorini , stayed 4 nights there then took ferry to Rethymno this time instead of Heraklion . ||Went on a day trip to Agia Roumeli or bottom of Samaria Gorge by ferry & it’s always a pleasant trip .||Going by bus or taxi back to Chania for a few days stay there , our last destination then fly home to UK. ||Highly recommend this hotel to any of my family & friends .||Thank you so much Libyan Princess for our lovely time with you & until next time .||Melinda &...
