Friday late night in August in Paleo and happy with your dinner? That's five stars. Then you want to stretch the limits and do a repeat on Saturday late night. Very happy again. Six stars. Are you out of your mind and try the impossible? Repeat Sunday night. My wife warn me, not to think for a fourpeat. I know I am not Michael Jordan. Let's now distribute the credits: the people who work there, from the kitchen people to the people who serve the food seem to love what they are doing. They seem to enjoy working for Kostadina, the owner of Christos restaurant. Kostadina is super pleasant and engages her customers with comments, smiles and suggestions. If you ask for a possible twist to the menu item, Kostadina will deliver. I wanted to try all the appetizers; however there was no appetizer sampler on the menu; no problem for Kostadina; she created a dish with Tarama salad, Eggplant salad and Zaziki salad. I am not an eggplant guy; however the eggplant salad (and all the others) was delicious. Kostadina simply commented that she doesn't understand why other restaurants buy the salads; she prefers to make them herself. The fish was super fresh. The tomatos in the tomato- cucumber salad was properly ripe and the white house wine was pretty good. What else can I ask on Sunday night in Paleochora. Seven stars? Sorry not such luck. Cheers...
Read moreWe dined here twice with four adults and two small children – and we’ll definitely be coming back a third time. The kitchen consistently delivers: the grilled octopus is among the best you’ll find in Paleochora, the vegetables are paper-thin and perfectly cooked without being drowned in oil, and the beef chop was full of flavor and grilled to a perfect medium rare, as ordered. The value for money is excellent. Even with plenty of options along the harbor promenade, it’s well worth the short walk here. Especially noteworthy: the service was not only highly professional but also wonderfully attentive to our children, allowing us to enjoy our post-meal coffee in peace. Fresh ingredients, high standards, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere – highly...
Read moreWe've been going to Paleochora for over 40 years. During this time, we've developed a close friendship with the Kouleri family, who ran this restaurant for a long time. After our dear friend Konstantina passed the restaurant on to Martha, who had worked there for many years, we also developed a wonderful friendship with Martha and her family.
Like all the years before, this year was once again a wonderful time and a holiday filled with warm hospitality. The food was excellent as always, and the view of the crocodile, as always, was breathtaking.
We thank you for the wonderful time and recommend everyone who visits Paleochora to eat at Christos Restaurant. The best place in Paleochora.
Best regards...
