One of the things I was most excited to try in Crete was stuffed zucchini flowers — and Seagull Restaurant made that experience truly unforgettable. Daniela 💙🧿🫶🏼she was incredibly kind and attentive, especially knowing about my eggplant allergy. She carefully prepared everything from the morning! with such thoughtfulness and made sure I felt safe and comfortable throughout the evening.
She even reserved a beautifully romantic table for us, and my husband and I had a wonderful dinner. As someone with food allergies, eating out can often be stressful — but Daniela made it feel so easy. I can’t thank her enough for taking such special care of me the whole night. And last cake as a present and Rakı! Such a lovely goodbye gift🤍 On the last evening of our holiday, I shared my heartfelt thanks and best wishes.
I always find it incredibly helpful to read reviews that mention how allergies are handled — so I hope this reaches someone who needs the reassurance. You can truly feel at ease here. Everyone at the restaurant is so mindful, kind, and well-informed.
There’s a real sense of family culture — no one is trying to trick you or put you in an uncomfortable situation just to make more money. You can even sense the cooperation between nearby businesses. This restaurant is a beautiful example of that spirit!
I truly hope everyone gets the chance to dine here at least once — it was one of the highlights...
Read moreThe restaurant had only been open a week when we had lunch in early April. This is a relatively small, seaside restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. This is the first time I've seen fried chicken wings on a greek menu. They were delicious served with a red, chili pepper sauce that was sweet, not hot. My husband had the usual Creten salad that had nice, soft, crumbly Feta rather then the usual hard chunk. Prices were very reasonable. The only downside was that there were heavy plastic hangings on each side of the small restaurant as walls separating it from their neighbor restaurants. It was hard to catch a breeze unless you sat in the front closest to the water....
Read moreLocation is excellent but the food wasn't good and we found the owner rude. We opted for the mixed fish platter which had a bit of fish and seafood. Unfortunately this was not well cooked, very dry and lacked seasoning. Neither of us enjoyed so decided to leave it. When owner collected our plates she asked why we didn't eat the fish so not wanting to insult her we told her it was too boney and she then made such a big deal over it and made us feel embarrassed. She told us repeatedly fresh fish have bones like we had never eaten before. Having travelled the world to eat fresh fish from Japan to Peru I can confirm fresh fish doesn't have to be dry or boney! Overall a disappointing...
