We were allocated to this hotel after aur cancelled booking. I was expecting a friendly welcome, it was not in my opinion. Reception lady did not seem to be grateful to see us.She informed us about places to go etc in a generic way. I did not feel a warm, grateful approach. Then this very steep, I mean almost 80 degree hill to walk upto the room or to the car park. I suggest if you are not so brave, avoid this hotel, out of ordinary landscaping, not a good design to make your trips to the market and the town easy. I had the impression the Staff were not really bothered to make you happy. We kept positive , happy and friendly as we were trying to enjoy ourselves. As soon as we opened the door, the floor looked just cleaned, clean sofa bed, nice huge bed, gorgeous views etc. But when I opened the shower glass door, there was a distinct smell. They say it is normal in Greece, it is hard to get used to . In modern living, we do not have smelly drains. The hot tub was good, although the lights did not work.Hard to go down to the Reception due to steep, unsafe walk, they don't even appreciate it could be difficult for some elderly people . I mean you can easily skid no matter what age, your shoes need to be proper. The breakfast looked goid at the first glance, then OMG, cold eggs. I had to mention that. The lady did not really understand why I would want hot or warm eggs. What world are they in? It is rude , and you just do not serve cold, uncooked eggs, whit if fried eggs were not cooked properly. I asked for freshly cooked egg for my hubby the next morning, it was not cooked fresh, maybe reheated a bit, the container they put the eggs in is cold..bizarre, they do not take responsibility of cooking eggs properly and serving them warm, fresh. That is not acceptable, another guest said the eggs should be warm, but I think the lady who was in charge of the breakfast did try to justify rather then offering a solution to the simple problem. The plates were not taken attentively etc. The reception lady or other Staff were avoiding rather than attending or being friendly, making effort etc.|My room was not cleaned on the second day and the reception lady, Stella told me due to rhe fact that I had told the cleaner lady I did not want the room.service. That was not the case, the cleaner lady did not listen , perhaps misunderstood but I definitely told that I wanted the room service as I requested to Stella as well.. When I came into room with ved not made, rubbish left etc..I was upset, called the reception, the guy answered dud not even say sorry. What do you want me to do, cleaner has gone home he said. I expected a gesture at least. He said, the manager will you a call, no call at sll.Again how rude. The next day, nobody came to me for sn explanation or an apology, I had to ask for one, dragged the sorry out of Stella's mouth. The customer service is very bad, and the guest's concerns do kot seem to bother them, not grateful. There can be misunderstandings at times, and nothing is 100 percent, but a guest should be served in a professional manner. I had to remind the Staff my room service in case, the towels, bins etc. There were still toiletries missing, tea bags , coffee missing, not enough toilet paper, bits on the floor, very annoying. I had to mention all this again to another reception lady and she was nice. I did not take her name but she was friendly and understanding. I think maybe due to end of season and just having one cleaner , there are issues,..But we paid for our holiday, went on a long journey, a lot of effort went into this holiday. We just expect the normal standards. We have never ever been served cold eggs, no hotel does that in any country anywhere in the world. And one last thing, I returned the key to the reception to check out, I .just received thank you from Stella but not a have a good , safe journey home or something. Does not hurt to be nice a little. I mean all these details go a long way, it is not about the view, it is about the standards, service, cleanliness for me. The basic standards were dismissed by Cape Mykonos. We had a rented car, went to.amazing places beautiful beaches , had a great time, did not stay at the hotel. Our bed and the...
Read moreMykonos was our last destination on our Greece trip and I was so much looking forward to this hotel as the pictures looked phenomenal. We were picked up by the hotel transport for free which we really appreciated since usually you have to pay 40 Euros or more. When we arrived at the hotel we quickly realized that it was nowhere mentioned the steep hill it was located on (my bf has a knee injury and for him it was hell walking up and down the hill) and the busy road next to it.
The room was fine like on the pictures but with no hammock and no hairdryer. Latter I got after complaining. The air-con was great and the views too but the shower was semi broken and the water drained so poorly that our bathroom was twice under water. Also there was a drain under the toilet and the shower water came up there and drained then from there so when I was sitting on the toilet and my bf was showering I had wet feet.
The two water bottles, which they told us upon arrival that would be refilled everyday in our fridge were not to be found. The breakfast was mediocre. The hot foods were cold and if there weren't any glasses or no orange juice left the personal wasn't really bothered to refill it. Also on the bookers site the hotel states that they would offer individualized breakfast options (f.ex. scrambled eggs) but upon request of a lady I overheard the waitress saying oh no we don't do that.
On our first evening we had a reservation with a no delay policy. We would be charged 60 Euros for a no show. We called the reception 45' prior to ask for a taxi 20' prior to our reservation as it would take us only 10' max to get there by car. We waited for 15' for our taxi and the receptionist (male) was rude and arrogant when I went in and asked. When the taxi came it was a private company and we had to sign some papers and pay cash which was a bit sus. Also for 10' we were charged 25 Euros. Never again. We walked home that night.
This goes hand in hand with the next point: the road to the city. On the website the hotel states 10' to the city. This might be true but it is nowhere stated that we have to walk along a busy main road where people pass next to you with 50km/h and 10 cm distance. Especially by night were feared for our lives and ran the last part up to the hotel to just get home quicker. This is unreasonable.
Lastly, the receptionist (women) could also be a bit nicer and less arrogant towards customers. We understand it can be difficult sometimes and we also are not always motivated to work but she was so unenthusiastic and I felt so dumb to go there and ask something that I did not even bother...
Read moreTOURIST TRAP!!!! BEWARE!!!! Not only do all the rooms sit at the top of an extremely steep hill (cars and atvs can’t even make it up) but the beach it overlooks smells like a swamp. No other beaches on the island smell like that. The town is a twenty five minute walk on extremely dangerous roads, not easily accessible like the site claims. Our private patio was used to drain hot tubs from other rooms and nothing was cleaned before our stay. Staff entered when ‘do not disturb’ signs were present, we returned to our room to find personal belongings sitting OUTSIDE in the windowsill, and when dirty towels/sheets were presented to staff they accused us of trying to scam them, claiming all tourists are the same. What a disgusting way to represent...
