I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On one hand, the location is great, the staff attentive and the a/c worked well. It's an older building, so floors squeak. This was not a problem, as our neighbors upstairs were generally quiet. |We were disappointed with the breakfast though. The breakfast room is very small, so when the hotel is full, you might not get a table for a while. If you get one, it's really tiny and very close to your neighbor. There were hard boiled eggs, but no other eggs. The offerings were limited (2 kinds of cold cuts, 1-2 kinds of sliced cheese, 1 kind of jam, honey, 1 pie, 1 cake, cereal, yogurt, tomatoes and cucumbers). Not bad, but maybe because of space, maybe to eliminate waste, everything was in very short supply. Refilling everything took time, and there was a single person to take care of everything. Bringing 8-10 small slices of cheese at a time when there are 20 people in the room...it was never enough. But there was no room for more, so I understand why. |The drip coffee was very, very weak so we had to rely on the one from the coffee machine, but that one was slow, and again, 20 people or more in the room...|The orange juice was delicious. |Maybe in off season, when the hotel is not full these problems are not apparent. I...
Read moreThis small family-run hotel in charming Nafplio was perfect for our week-long stay. The elegant period house is in pristine condition and the rooms are well appointed with stylish modern decor. The staff are amazingly helpful. My daughter contracted Covid just before our planned stay, and we had to postpone our trip. Lisa was super helpful and rebooked our dates at the last minute at no extra cost. The breakfasts served in a quiet inner courtyard are delicious and the breakfast ladies bend over backwards to accommodate. There are homemade Greek pastries and delicious omelettes and Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit. The location is fabulous too, near to the sea in a quiet end of town with the best wine bar featuring stunning Greek wines just next door. All in all, we were delighted, and the only thing that is perhaps missing is a sea view which this hotel does not feature. But in terms of valuer for money, you can't beat this. Thanks too to Thanassis and Costa - you all made our...
Read moreOverall a nice hotel in a great location. Good communication prior to arrival when we asked about check in and area parking. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom could use more counter space for your toiletries tho. Breakfast was filling and the staff were friendly. We did have an issue with housekeeping- we were 3 people staying but they only replenished 1 or 2 towels, had to ask for toilet paper and extra soap, shampoo when it was clearly empty. We stayed 4 nights- Note 1 teeny bottle of shampoo and body wash for a suite for 3 people and 1 roll of toilet paper on check in. Annoying. The receptionist was quite apologetic for this but they do need to address that area for a better guest experience especially since reception is not 24 hrs if you need something. Would we stay again? Maybe but not at the top of my list if there is...
