Worst Café Experience: Was It Because I’m a Tourist?

Today, my wife and I had an absolutely shocking experience at a café in Nafplio during our 3-week trip to Greece. I ordered a cappuccino, and oh my gosh! It wasn’t hot or cold, just completely lukewarm. I politely asked twice for a hotter coffee, but the staff did nothing. On the third attempt, the male staff member, clearly annoyed, said, “We make coffee with a machine set to 32°C. Even if I make it again, it’ll be the same. Just drink it.”

I couldn’t help but think I was being treated this way because I’m a foreign tourist. This café seems to view tourists as one-time visitors who don’t deserve proper service. The rudeness and disrespect from the staff were unbearable. To the café owner and staff, consider this a warning: poor service like this, regardless of whether your customers are tourists or locals, is unacceptable.

People who don't even know the proper temperature for a cappuccino (60-~70 degrees) are selling coffee.... You pathetic people, wake up and be humble to your customers.

One of the nice restaurants with seaside view. We had two coffee fredo which were delicious, although we had to wait quite a while until our orders have been taken and until we got served. We were a famillie of 5. We order food coffy juice etc. Coffy was oki and the juice was oki. But the food was Cold and weery dry. For coffy is oki if you like to wait for worker to come to you.
