Rooms are good. Take a standard room as they are fine. The rooms on the third floor are not as good as the pics. One reason we stayed here is that they have a pool but it is closed from 3pm to 5pm so if you get back on a hot day after touring and want to swim in the afternoon forget it. We were told it was to keep the noise down as it was siesta. Makes no sense as we are adults and would not have been making noise at the pool. So if you want to be able to cool off in the afternoon after a long day of touring go to the beach like us or find a hotel with a pool open in the middle of the day. Bathroom did not have a shelf that could hold a dop kit so you have to put it on floor. In room one window has no shade so after the sun waking us at 6:30 we put three towels over the window. AC is quirky. Turning the temp down turned the unit off. Turning the temp up turned it on. Left the temp constant after that and temp was ok but woke up with the room very cold. Perhaps AC is turned off in...
Read moreI seem to disagree with other reviewers about this hotel. It was our least favorite during our two week trip to Greece. ||First of all, the pictures on their website are definitely airbrushed or out of date. Our room looked great online but very tired in reality. Everything needs a refresh, especially the very old bathroom. Cleaning also needs improvement. The bed is a mystery - wood corners stick out so far that I hit my shin at least for times. They also don’t give you a duvet; it’s a very thin top sheet only and I froze during the night at the height of summer. You can hear everything in this hotel - it’s old so there’s poor sound insulation. This was fine the first night, but not so great the second night when a huge tour bus arrived and the hotel was full. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. There’s also no coffee maker in the room.||On the plus side, the location is fantastic and the ladies working at reception...
Read more+++· A hotel with an ideal location, offering comfortable and quiet rooms, and a breakfast whose homemade Greek yogurt leaves a lasting impression, with gluten-free options available on request. The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. There is a small symbolic pool, useful for a quick refresh. A car is not needed to get around Nauplio.
comments: The bathrooms of the ground-floor rooms could be more in line with the rest of the room in terms of finish and size. They have no windows, but this is not an issue. No parking is available, which makes it difficult to find a space nearby, especially when arriving after 4/5 p.m. In that case, you need to park at the free public port parking, about a 10–15...
