Margo Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Margo Studios is a place I gladly would recommend if you are staying in Naxos! George, Maria and Nikitas are some of the best hosts I ever met.

My girlfriend and I stayed her for 8 nights in June 2019 and had the best time! We both got so well taken care of since the moment we landed on Naxos Airport and got picked up by George, to when we got dropped off at the airport again 10 days later.

George gave us a little tour of Naxos while driving from the airport to the studio, which was super nice! We also met Maria right after check-in, and she gave us a quick brief of Naxos and handed us a map with her comments on where to go etc.

We initially had planned to stay for only 5 nights, but changed our plans last minute on the last day. There were no problem whatsoever to book a couple of more nights at Margo Studios thanks to the very helpful and friendly people at Margo!

Margo Studios is a short walk away from the port and has a great location. We really appreciated that it was not in the middle of the port, but instead a little short walk "outside" the most busy part of the island. A local supermarket and bakery is located less than 1 min away, so you basically got all you need right outside your door.

A couple of days before our arrival we also received an even more detailed and helpful guide from Nikitas. A guide of Naxos, called "Summer Guide 2019" describing every beach and interesting places on the island. Restaurant recommendations and lot of other relevant information also followed. This was great, and we used it a lot during our days in Naxos.

I would recommend Margo Studios for everyone looking for a place to stay in Naxos. The studio we lived in got cleaned every day and with towels replaced and bed made daily. Thanks for the great stay and both my girlfriend and I will most likely be back in the near...

You can't get a better place to day trip on the Naxos Island. In short, it is close to "luxury-style" living for a bargain price. You are only a short 5-10 min walk away from the main port and shops, and the owner Nikitas will be sure to make your stay incredible.

pros: high quality hard stone floors, AC, TV, clean bathroom and bedroom, daily housekeeping to clean the bathroom and make the bed, pristine whitewashed walls with blue trim, reliable free WIFI, and well made quality furniture. You can tell that the owner takes a lot of pride in the establishment and it's been in his family for generations. Cons: none that I can think of! Owner Nikitas also picked me up from the port, and drove me and my luggage to the studios.

I chose Margos studios and Naxos Island pretty much by chance, and this proved to be serendipitous.The island offers better food, lower prices, and is less touristy than some of the other well-known islands like Mykonos and Santorini. Be sure to try some of the fresh local goat cheese on a Greek salad, and walk through the town. If you want more adventure, rent a car or a scooter, and take a ride for a day to the local villages on the island. The owner can help plan your stay, and tell you a bit of Greek...

Good hotel , nice people. The hotel is well located as it takes only a 5 minute walk to Naxos town port where all restoraunts, bars and shops are. The rooms are big enough. Aircondition, fridge,TV, hairdresser and all things needed to make your own breakfast (you have to buy food yourself,local supermarket 1 minute walk from the hotel). You can have your selfmade breakfast at your balcony, which is big enough, or at the small yard outside the reception. Managers mum will gladly make you a coffee and chase you up to give you a free icecream that she somehow always has. :)

The hotel is very clean, towels changed daily and wifi works fine and its free. The stuff is very helpfull and friendly. The hotel manager will gladly give you info about the island and a free lift from and back to the port. We had our own car and parking is really comfortble 50m from the hotel where is a free parking space down the main road.

The only negative may be that the bathrooms are slightly small especially the showers, but still brand new and very clean.
