MYSTIC VILLAS KOUFONISI — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Magical! Perfect! Words can't begin describe the beauty that is Koufonisi and the incredible experience that awaits you at Mystic Villas. Chryssa and Michalis are the perfect hosts -- from pre-arrival communication to pick-up at the ferry to gracious hospitality throughout our stay. Our villa ("Water") sat perched high above the most beautiful view of the southern part of the island and we found it hard to tear ourselves away from the private pool, shaded patio, and comfy loungers. The villas blend in seamlessly with the landscape and feature original woodworking by Michalis, who also provides a wonderful selection of Greek wines. Every single one of Chryssa and Michalis' restaurant recommendations were spot on -- and they were always willing to give us a lift into town, although we generally preferred to walk. The rooms were cleaned as often as we needed and the fridge was stocked with cold water every day. The beaches on the island were truly the most beautiful we have seen in all of our travels, and the village has just enough (but not too many) shops, bars, and restaurants to keep you occupied when you are not on the beach or gaping at the view from Mystic Villas. My family and I stayed at the beautiful Mystic Villas while visiting amazing Koufonisi. Koufonisi is a gorgeous, small Cycladic island with beaches that boast amazingly clear, turquoise waters. Chryssa and Michalis are incredible hosts who want to make sure that you have the most enjoyable and relaxing time on the island. They sit down with guests and take the time to share valuable information about the sights, restaurants, and beaches and remain easily accessible to answer questions and provide recommendations along the way. The villas boast stunning views of Keros, Koufonisi, and the surrounding islands that pictures don’t do justice. The villas are clean, well-maintained, and have lots of unique, luxurious touches. To begin with Koufonisi is a piece of heaven on earth. It has definitely become my favorite island. And our Mystic Villa definitely added to our magical holiday. The view from the balcony is so stunning that at times we didn’t feel like going into town for a meal and just ordered takeaway to sit on our balcony and enjoy the view. Beaches, port, restaurants are easily accessible. There is one taxi on the island always available when we didn’t feel like taking the walk up to the villa after a delicious meal in the evening. I felt like I already l knew Chryssa the owner before we arrived here thru our telephone communication. Chryssa and Michalis have been the perfect hosts. Very welcoming and ready to help with advice and services whenever needed. This has been a perfect vacation already looking to return to Mystic Villa...
