Petros Rooms — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but here it feels necessary as the rating seems overrated.

Pros: Room as described, recently renovated, quiet location at night. We were allowed to check in 1h early and check out 30 min late (though repeatedly mentioned to us as if it were a huge favor).

Cons: Wi-Fi doesn’t work at all. Breakfast is very limited, with extras charged (e.g. €3 for cappuccino, espresso unclear). Location not very convenient: 15 min to the beach, longer to town unless you take an unpleasant shortcut. Finally, the owner himself. I won’t go into personal opinions – his brusque and direct manners may or may not suit everyone – but promises should be kept. For several days, including during breakfast on the morning of check-out, he confirmed that we could leave our luggage until 5 pm and that he would then drive us to the port. We even asked if there was a place where we could take a quick shower before leaving, and the only option he offered was renting a room for the entire day, which we politely declined as unnecessary for our needs. Despite this clear agreement, at 11:30 he suddenly and rather rudely told us to load our bags into the car and dropped us at the port hours earlier than planned, without any explanation. Location:|Location is perfect, with the utmost quietness and serenity, 10 mins by foot from main town area, and 10-15 mins by foot to the many beautiful beaches like Finikas, Fanos, Italida and Alejandra.||Rooms:|Neat, Clean, perfect size, with all amenities needed. Super comfy beds. ||Breakfast:|Options are just what you need to start your day fresh. Eggs, yoghurt with honey, some freshly baked bread with jams and butter, coffee, and orange juice as well as some nice freshly homemade cake. |(Don't really understand why some comments here are not satisfied with breakfast...if you want to stuff yourself with a ton of options, just stay home or go to the nearest supermarket).||Service:|From Mr Petros to Mrs Zoe, and the girls (potentially their daughters) are absolutely great.
