We visited for two nights in mid-October. The Agios Prokopios beach, where the property is located, was beautiful, relatively quiet at this time but had plenty of restaurants open during the day. Not much to do at night though so you'd need to take a bus or a reasonably priced taxi to Naxos town which offers plenty of bars and entertainment. The property itself was clean and perfectly located right at the beachfront. The restaurant on the ground floor, which belongs to the property, offers drinks service to beach chairs - very convenient and well priced. Guests of the Nikos Apartments can use the beach chairs for free and there were always free chairs during the low season we visited. Mr Nikos himself was friendly and generous with a welcome drink offered at the restaurant after checkin. It was great to see that most of the time he supervises the property and the restaurant himself to ensure good quality and you could see the results. The restaurant food was very nice in general though the pizza was not our favourite style. But that's beside the point of the guesthouse review really. The room itself was well equipped, clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean and modern. Though the sea view that the pictures suggest wasn't great. We had partial sea view with most of the view taken by a next door property. Side sea view / partial sea view should be described as such at booking. But that's my only complaint and I would give the property a rating 4 out of 5 but we loved our stay so much that it's forgiven ;) All in all we enjoyed our hassle free stay, good value for money and the...
Read moreMy husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Nikos Studios and Apartments! Where else can you get a modern room right by the beach for this price??!! We were offered a welcome drink on arrival. The room was clean with a comfortable bed & good temperature control. We could hear the waves at night if we left the balcony door open (with the screen pulled across to keep the mosquitos out), and we enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine at night on the balcony with a partial sea view. We were just steps away from the beach and the bus stop into Naxos Town. (The bus came once an hour.) Once the owner called a taxi for us. It was 12€ into town and arrived quickly after our request. Niko's sister runs a car/motorcycle rental place next door. We were given a great deal on a car for the day when we mentioned we were staying at Nikos.||There is a restaurant (also called Nikos) on the main level below the hotel rooms, and the salad & appetizers we had were terrific. Niko's cappuccino was the best I had during my whole Greek trip to 3 islands. His baklava was also delicious! Naxos was a pleasure to visit because the traditional Greek culture and hospitality are still alive and well. We loved Mykonos and Santorini also, but they are very touristy and less authentic/traditional, in our experience. We definitely recommend Nikos Studios and we hope to...
Read moreWe had a family room which consisted of 2 bedrooms. It was a lovely place to sleep and air con was great. Our room did have a sea view but also looked over the restaurants generator so not particular nice and the kids room balcony overlooked a car park!|Staff were friendly and breakfast was fine. |My biggest issue is the sunbed situation. As guests we were only allowed to have our ‘free’ beds in row 3 because they want paying beach goers to use the front rows and pay them €40 a time. |During my visit I’d say 70% of the 1st/2nd row beds were empty so they are not only disgruntling guests but also gaining little revenue!! I was offered row 2 beds one day because I complained. |We won’t be returning as I can’t justify spending our hard earned money and then being treated as less important than non...
