O Barbounis — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Embarrassingly bad service. I waited over 1.5 hours for my fish. When I asked about it 1 hour in as they collected my partner’s finished plate, the waiter said sorry and that he had not registered it properly. When I called him over 30 min later to follow up, he asked if everything was okay. I said I was still waiting for the fish. When it arrived and I said to the older more senior lady ‘finally I’ve been waiting over an hour and a half’ - she laughed at me and walked away. No offer to take the fish off the bill… really really poor service. And worst of all, the fish was dry.

Save your money for an establishment where the staff respect and care about...

This is my go to place for breakfast, brunch,afternoon coffee and sometimes dinner...where do I start. The breakfast of fried eggs,omelettes or the yoghurt with honey or with the amazing fruits of Naxos. The food here is always of high quality ,locally sourced and always fresh.The service is impeccable and all the staff are just wonderful. Ordered their pizza and another pizza from near by restaurant to compare. Sadly, there are lot of things wrong with the margarita pizza that we got from this restaurant . 1. Crust was so thin that you didn’t even have enough dough in the middle to eat it like a pizza. 2. Not sliced properly and we had to cut with a knife to get pieces. 3 the taste was just ok, I think getting a frozen pizza from the supermarket would have been better.
