We recently spent 10 nights at this hotel, choosing it for a special treat based on its 5-star rating and glowing reviews. Sadly, while there were some positives, the negatives far outweighed them, leaving us counting down the days to go home—something we’ve never experienced on holiday before. We also spoke with other guests who echoed many of our concerns. Check-In We arrived around 11 PM and were welcomed with fizz and cold towels, but the process felt rushed. We were simply told to use the app, which didn’t work, and left confused about where to go. A buggy driver eventually took us to our room but didn’t speak or engage with us. No food was available, only a cold baguette in the fridge—disappointing for an all-inclusive hotel. Room Our sea-view room was lovely, and the mini-bar was restocked daily, though it wasn’t clear if it was included. Housekeeping was thorough but disruptive, often entering without warning in the morning. WiFi WiFi was patchy—some days unusable. An international SIM is recommended. Food This was the biggest letdown. As food lovers, we were deeply disappointed. The buffet food was often lukewarm, overly salty, repetitive, and of low quality. Themed nights lacked authenticity (e.g., no gyros on Greek night). We started eating out despite having paid for all-inclusive. Desserts were bland and mostly unlabeled—not allergy-friendly. TUI advertised volcanic hot stone cooking, which didn’t exist. Ginger, their restaurant, offered a limited free menu; the sushi and bao buns were low quality. The Street Food Bar was just as disappointing—mostly fries with minimal filling. Drinks Drinks were decent, but premium options cost extra. Water dispensers were scarce—bring a reusable bottle. Staff Most staff were robotic and disengaged, with one lovely exception—Nikos at the evening bar. Overall, it felt like a mass tourism operation where guests weren't valued. Gym The gym was under-equipped and not suited for serious workouts. No water dispenser—had to fill bottles from the toilet tap or pay. Activities & Entertainment Activities were uninspired and poorly advertised. Evening entertainment was extremely poor—low-quality acts geared toward an older crowd. Some nights, there was no entertainment at all. By 10 PM, most guests (including us) had gone to bed from sheer boredom. Spa Massage prices were outrageous—quoted over €300 for a basic couple’s massage, later dropped to ~€180. We declined. The sauna required advance booking, with limited access even for all-inclusive guests. Beach & Pool The beach was nice but rocky—bring water shoes. Sun loungers were hard to come by. Pools were cold and rarely used. Atmosphere The average guest age was 60–90. As a 30-year-old couple, we felt out of place. The vibe was dull and draining. Many guests seem to return yearly and defend the hotel online and it feels like a cult. It felt like a retirement village, not a luxury resort. Local Area The nearby area felt eerie and run-down. Local shops were overpriced, and the pharmacy charged double. On the bright side, we had a great experience renting a car with Rodos Cars. We also enjoyed the presence of friendly stray cats. Checkout We were surprised by a €15 per night tourist tax (€142 total), which we weren’t informed about. The receptionist didn’t even ask how our stay was—telling in itself. Final Thoughts This stay was extremely disappointing. We felt misled by TUI’s marketing and let down by the hotel’s services and atmosphere. Unless you’re over 60 and happy with silence, card games, and mediocre food or enjoy being part of a hotel cult, we recommend spending your money elsewhere. If we could get a refund we would.

Booking holidays is always a 50/50% chance on getting exactly everything you want, need and love. However, over the last 5 years of multiple holidays short and long haul of very bad rooms, food, cleanliness, staff etc. We can honestly say hands down this is by far the best place we’ve been to in a very long time! From the very initial walk into main reception after a long travel we was instantly hit with smells of fresh fruity spa day senses, greeted with a glass of fizzy and our initial reception was very easy and they was very ready for our arrival. Quickly got us checked in and delivered us to our room. First initial thought, AMAZING! What a beautiful room with a must needed ham and cheese roll all ready in the fridge with drinks snacks and water. (A really nice roll !! / not the usual sweaty warm fruit plate!) We had room 1119 over looking the pool, was beautifully layout with bed and a lounge area. 10/10!! With a double shower. Endless! Food! Food at this hotel was 10/10, if you see reviews that the food is not then it’s a lie! Lots of meat choices and cooked to perfection. They have a special on each night and that could range from all different cuisines. Staff! Staff here are absolutely incredible! in every way possible they did not disappoint, and very regimented and professional. Dinner Cues, Seen a couple of reviews about the cues for dinner, absolutely not a problem! We waited no more then 10 minutes and in fact it actually slowed the process down and made it feel more like a restaurant then a massive rat race to the food! You actually got taken to your seat and it felt more personal. 10/10 Pool, The pool was cold but to be expected in May. Soon got used to it. Drinks and alcohol. Drinks by the pool are lovely, although we feel the plastic glasses should be replaced with nicer plastic ones. But still, was very pleased. Alcohol was very well mixed. Resort. Large resort area, big pool, LOADS of sunbeds. Not once did we rush to get a sunbed, eat dinner and lunch etc! There are so many, there was always a bed and because the restaurant is always properly organised and methodical we always got a seat without rushing! Was amazing. Extra seating to the pool with the day beds etc is additional pay. In the 1 x restaurant you have to pre book we feel as though more options should be free, there is enough but most are payed options. Never the less it was still lovely! We went to the Ginger restaurant. Cleaning and cleanliness Can’t explain how clean this place is, unbelievable. Rooms kept up daily and also all toilets outside and inside the hotel, it was very nice to feel as though this is important to them to keep up! I think there was staff cleaning the restaurant toilet and resort overall every time I went in. It was relentless!! Gym - absolutely adequate for what you need. Bodybuilding to cardio. You can keep fit! We did a boat tour to Symi, George bay was a bit over cast on that day but would definitely recommend! We stayed for a week, but we wanted to more. If you go around May early season then take a jumper!! It gets chilly in the evening. Overall, we will definitely return. Well done to Atlantica Imperial Resort!! Would 100% recommend on all levels.

All in all it’s a good hotel but lacks to be marked as 5 star. I am optimistic traveller and don’t dwell on small things but paying 2k per person I will be honest. Stayed in 210 swim up room has sun up to 3pm to sunbathe but still plenty in the pool. Arrival: we have arrived at 10pm greeted with warm towels to clean hands and glass of Prosecco. Check in was a bit rushed, I wish to have more information and brochure of hotel surroundings so first day is smoother. As restaurants already closed we had a sandwiches left in a fridge. Room service at extra charge. Service: staff in the main dining room are lovely and always greet you with the smile. Service at the pool is not great you will get your order taken 3 times if lucky. Pool Bar staff just tired and overworked, many cocktail drinks served from ready made bottles which is mostly fine but wouldn’t recommend the pina colada. Cocktails at the bars in evening are fine. Spa staff the best super welcoming and polite. As 90% of guests going to main restaurant it can get busy and if you want to sit outside in the terrace you may have to wait. We would go to dinner 19:00-19:15 and managed to get table outside 3 times. During peak time might be harder. Food: you are only allowed one a la carte restaurant per stay and you have 3 to choose from and we went to Ginger, which was good however doesn’t specify anywhere unless you ask that you can actually get the bar drinks for no extra cost if you have all inclusive - other reviews gave us the impression that you can’t have anything but water unless you want to pay. Main restaurant has themed nights, food is good but once again not a 5 star level. On day 5 got food poisoning, only ate the hotel, I don’t have weak stomach but something i ate on Gala night didn’t sit right. If you don’t want to be in queue to get seated be at breakfast before 9. Main restaurant closes at 21:00 I find it far too early especially as there is not an alternative snack bar to get food from for the evening, other all inclusive resorts I’ve been to close around 22:00. A la carte closes at 21:30. Snack bar is really good, loved their gyros. Pool: we were at hotel in September. People do secure sun loungers with towels. We would leave rooms 8:45, secure beds and go to eat breakfast. Beach doesn’t have many sun loungers and it’s a public beach not private. Best to go later in the day around 16:00 still very warm water and more chairs available. Hotel surroundings: clean and well kept. Few shops outside hotel 5min walk. Inside hotel main areas like lobby a bit outdated, however lobby terrace area is more modern and eye appealing. Rooms: we had one swim up room and one standard room with sea view. Rooms are well kept no issues what so ever. Swim up room pool time 09:30 to 19:00. Start time I could understand because of cleaning but if I want a late evening dip who will stop me 🤣 Spa: we have booked duo spa treatment each 90min paid €320. Service start to finish was incredible. Massage was very good. They do have male masseuse’s however didn’t inform before the treatment. Generally I would say 5 star hotels in Turkey and Mexico are way better for the money you pay.

I couldn't mark this as a 5/5 but let me explain why we have just left this hotel where we had an awesome honeymoon. the pool, pool beds and the beach front and the secret lounger beds have a wow factor. when we first saw it we was like "wow wow wow" we was very kindly upgraded to a suite with a bottle of fizz as it was our honeymoon and after a day or 2 we cheekily asked if we can change to a swim up pool to which they did let us !!! we was very lucky and thankful and we loved both rooms. the suites were new and modern and stunning, with a sea view. but we absolutely loved dipping in and out the swim up pool to cool down. yes they are freezing, but if you get in quick and start to move you soon get used to it .

on the beach the sea gets really deep really fast but its beautiful clear water. this is a pebble beach so you need sea socks or shoes, but i liked the lack of sand due to sand being annoying.

the staff were friendly and nice and attentive and they try to converse in English.and I do feel if we was to ask for anything they would try to accommodate.

our main issue is we like to have a drink and get abit merry BUT the drinks in the all inclusive are SO SO weak to the point where it really buzz killed our first 2 days as it made us feel abit deflated. we also spoke to other couples who agreed about this. we drank from quite early one day until quite late and we was STONE COLD SOBER! We worked out we had to ask for them to be stronger but they rarely listened, and although they did seem to get stronger later into the evening they was still very inadequate.

we had to start paying for expensive wines or champagne.

and then for the last 4 evenings we decided to drink out at the local cocktail bar called the "oasis". which had the best tastiest cheap cocktails and great atmosphere, the couple who own it are so friendly and gorgeous and the drinks arrived really fast here too, unlike at this resort .

there was always a que at the pool bar and sometimes the drinks would take ages or not arrive at all when we was being waited on. you also do not get served on at the sun loungers on the beach we paid €45 for the secret lounger (which was an awesome location with shade and sun and it had a fridge for our beer we brought) and still we wasn't waited on there either which was also disappointing.

we did book this hotel thinking we would be waited on on the seafront like other locations but we was left disappointed. (we don't usually pick holidays like that as we're usually more adventurous-and we infact was meant to go canada to canoe on the lakes but it was cancelled due to covid and after all the covid stress and issues we've faced this year and the fact it was our honeymoon we wanted to waited on for once and as a 5 star hotel we thought we would be)

I know it sounds like were "piss-heads" referring to the alcohol so much as a negative but we do enjoy a tipple and we can handle our drinks and we like the choice to be able too but I feel this hotel doesn't let you have the choice unless you pay allot extra to do so.

so yes on that note. we wished we didnt go all inclusive as we ended up eating and drinking out allot anyway.

however they do allow "a la carte" as part of all inclusive for one night only and that was gorgeous view, service and food BUT even 2 of the best dishes of that, we had to pay towards "at a discount" and also the wine.

the red wine on all inclusive was only 10% or somthing- so we didnt even try it again. and i am telling you, the beer in the day is more like water!!!

the cocktails tasted nice but were more like juice - but they got slightly stronger in the evening.

the first few days i got bloated from trying to get abit merry, and with all the extra calories I probably put on a stone!

after day 3 to problem solve we brought a bottle of rum and gin from the shop and topped the cocktails up- and many other couples had to do this too.so it wasnt just us...

The good: ||The staff they were all really Brilliant. ||Kiki in the restaurant and in the pool bar until early afternoon. She was always really bubbly, helpful and always had a smile. Our waiter in the Blue Bay restaurant for breakfast who always remembered what my husband had in his omelette! Always friendly always remembered it was two coffee, two orange juice and the omelette!!. ||The other bar staff who were always cheerful, helpful and tried their best to please everyone which I am sure was not that easy at all!!||The reception staff who were always cheerful and would chat to you. This was in both hotels.||The bad!! ||The rooms have very thin walls so you can hear (if you like it or not!!) ALL (I will not go into detail!) noise from the rooms next door to you! This is NOT something you want at all! Other people have also stated this!!||Breakfast in the mornings is wonderfully peaceful in the Blue Bay restaurant. ||In the evening you have to go to the hotel opposite for your dinner as the Blue Bay restaurant now becomes an al a carte restaurant!! The menu did nothing for us at all!! We were told by other people there that up until Covid the Blue Bay restaurant served dinner for the residences but had now changed. It really would be fantastic if it changed back!! Judging by how quiet it was as an al a carte restaurant it would make all the difference to the people there and also the reviews!!||The main restaurant in the Atlantica hotel was a nightmare!! you queue for ages trying to get any food! People are pushing and shoving as everyone is trying to get to the food at the same time!! It was a horrible experience.||We stayed at this hotel (the original Atlantica Imperial - prior to the residences being added to it). Since then the hotel has expanded and the Residences have been added but the restaurant is the same size it always was!! ||The main restaurant has not expanded so there are far more people trying to use facilities that are just not big enough!! The idea of trying to make people use al a carte restaurants instead is totally wrong.||The residences do not have enough sun beds to allow for people just trying to lay in the sun by the pool area!! ||The swim up channel is very narrow so if you have the bad luck like we did of having 4 or 6 youngsters who decide they will block the channel everyday and talk very loudly you just have to give up and go somewhere else!! The swim up channel in the normal hotel is wider so was much better.||The residences were lovely if you could have had breakfast and dinner there and not have very selfish youngsters stop people being able to use the swim up facilities. We were only one of a few people affected by this.||A few more sun beds near to the bar pool would have been good as the beds in the pool were booked every day by the same people and there are not many other beds further down.||Not everyone wants to holiday by APP!! A lot of people want to leave their phone in the safe and enjoy their holiday and if they want information find it on a notice board!! They do not want to download and app and then be bombarded with thing daily!!||You have to have the Tui App - this will bombard you with suggestions for 'experiences every day!!' If you have been to Rhodes before you probably know experiences they have never heard of!! ||The Atlantica App!! - It is much nicer just being told by reception or looking at a notice board we do not need an App!!||Overall:||For a peaceful stay which is handy for the buses they have a bus stop outside the hotel. Handy for going into town or down to Lindos!!||There are also a lot of shops (mostly tourist types but also clothes etc) there are a lot of them in this resort. We enjoyed just going for a walk in the evening and looking at the shops.||There is an amazing fish restaurant in this resort and also another restaurant that I have already commented on in the resort. The food in these...

An incredible hotel that rivals some of the best. We recently stayed at the Atlantica Imperial Resort in Rhodes and had a fantastic experience.

The staff at the Altantica Imperial Resort are incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a couple of minor issues during out stay, but they were dealt with swiftly. Staff appearance is exceptional, with nice, neat uniforms that ooze class and sophistication.

Due to my partner being a vegetarian, we did not try the a la carte restaurants, simply because the vegetarian options were very limited, which is a shame because we had 2 free a la cartes to use during our stay.

The food in the main buffet is of a very high standard, although the themed nights are a bit strange, and very generic (international, Asian, ethnic). There is plenty of food choice in the buffet, but the service area itself is quite small, and can become very busy, with large queues at the popular counters. The dining operation in the main buffet restaurant was extremely efficient, and tables were promptly cleared and reset when people had finished. Waiters were really quick to come and offer drinks, which was great to see.

We tried breakfast at the Blue Bay Restaurant in the residences areas a couple of times. This area is much quieter and the food is of a higher standard than that at the main buffet (real mushrooms, hash browns etc). There are also a few a la carte options to choose from, including egg dishes and pancakes. On our second visit to Blue Bay my partner ordered a cheese and mushroom omelette, but unfortunately after taking a bit discovered it was full of ham! So please make sure you are checking your food if you have any dietary restrictions.

The poolside snack bar was a personal favourite of mine for lunch. They serve grab and go snacks such as salads and sandwiches, but also hot food such as gyros, pizza, hot dogs, burgers and halloumi pittas. The food from here was always excellent and service was very quick and efficient.

In terms of drinks, my personal favourite place to have a drink was Orfea’s Lounge Bar and Terrace. The cocktails here are of a very good standard. However I found that service was severely lacking up there, and on occasion that we visited, I would wait at least 45 minutes for the waiter/waitress to come round and take another drinks order. Unfortunately this bar is table service only, so you can’t just order at the bar.

In the evenings we would go down to the pool bar, as that is where most of the night time entertainment took place. The water service down here was exceptional. Staff would be round every few minutes asking if you wanted another drink. They were very attentive and drinks arrived promptly.

The main pool area itself is stunning. The pool is extremely modern and had some really cool features such as fountains, showers and waterfalls. It is not heated, but it was not cold. Despite the hotel being very busy, and lots of people on the sunbeds, the pool itself was very quiet. The only downside to the pool area is the layout of the sunbeds. We found it difficult to walk around the pool as there was no clear path between them all, so quite often you find yourself almost brushing against people as you make your way through the slalom of sunbathers.

All in all we had a really good stay at the Atlantica Imperial Resort. As I mentioned above, we did have a couple of issues, but I always judge a hotel on the way these issues are dealt with, and I can honestly say that we received some of the best customer service we’ve ever experienced at this hotel. If I were to compare this to another hotel, I think it would come very close the The Residence at the TUI Blue Sensatori Barut Fethiye in terms of quality, service and cleanliness. However I’d rate it very slightly below this simply because it’s...
