We had an amazing experience on one night and absolutely shocking the next one. On the first night the food was of amazing quality, great produce and execution. Service friendly and professional. We were very happy and left a generous tip. Second night was bitter disappointment. We had a long wait to order. The waitress took long to take an order of a large group of locals and I gather the conversation was not all about business. Then she took an order from people who came after us. All team continued looking through us and not acknowledging. Eventually the manageress asked the waitress to take an order from us. The waitress paid not much attention as she kept taking to the local group. Then the starter (from the starters’ list) came with one of mains. The male waiter I have to remark was rather intimidating. Looked annoyed and had unpleasant manner of kind of tossing the plates on the table and the way he spoke was more of a short barks. Have have explained that we would like to enjoy starter first. He took the plate with main away. Then the waitress run to us to tell us off, that we did not explain, that we want the starter first. We did. She told us off in front of other guests and then run back to the kitchen and all restaurant could hear her shouting. We were embarrassed. The mains were served. Clearly the 3 small mullets were kept warm along with wrinkled, dry fries and salad. My stifado was ok although fries old as well. We were hungry and not looking forward to further drama. We have eaten. To punish us for our behaviour, both waiters passed by our table many times but never cleared the starters and we had to use same cutlery. I was worried, that for the lack of space on table we will spill water or wine and took starter plates to the bar myself. FOH man told me he off for placing them on the bar and pointed the trolley with dirty dishes. After all this, the manageress came to ask if we are ok. She apologised and offered shots of ouzo and a few Euro was taken of the bill. This was a nice gesture, however what happened, happened already. We were sad and humiliated and we will not dare to come back. The place is busy every night and this is a mantra the Staff keeps saying. This must be the reasoning behind the...

Nice place with really good food (starter with prawns was awesome). Why only 3 starts then ? That's for the extra 20 Euros on the bill. I thought that maybe it was added cost of service so I didn't make a fuss, but it couldn't possibly be the case as not a single one other restaurant that we have visited in over two weeks did this. And I mean also different regions of Rhodes Island as well as Symi Island. In every other places the price of the meal was exactly as expected and you could leave the tip accordingly. I was planning on going back to take a picture of menu with prices to make a point here, but I just couldn't be bothered in the end. By the way the receipt I've received was illegible. The only part that's clear on it is the total amount.

I'm waiting for a comment stating something like "stupid tourists can't count and we did everything right" or something, but I can assure you that a person with University master degree and working for years in IT is somehow capable of adding numbers ;)

UPDATE: I couldn't really make much from the answer below except a poor take on attempted sarcasm. Quotes were used by me for a reason, but basically that was the kind of message that you have provided to some other guy who was overcharged in your place. Wow!!!! Haven't been so pleased for years now!

I'm a true food lover and a very difficult person to please. The food here is freaking AMAZING!

The waiters came within a minute,took our order with a big smile, explained the menu like pros and the order came within 7 minutes tops.

Portion: The portion was huge and could feed an elephant!! The kid's portion can feed an adult foe sure

Taste: Party iny mouth!! We got the carbonara and the Bolognese for the kid This must be the best one i ever tasted.everything was spot on and the cream had the correct texture and consistency

Service:

True pros! Always smiling and asking if we are happy with the food

Atmosphere:

The only true Greece experience you get in the island. Nice music and wonderful design. I really recommend the outside back yard(see the pics)

Cons:

Just too hot due to the weather in whole Europe now. Fans and A/C present but straggling to keep up with this heatwave

I don't really spend time reviewing restaurants but this one stole my heart!!!

Please visit it and you won't regret it!
