Food Box Kolymbia — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

I am eating gyros all my life I eat almost everywhere in Greece and at summers I am coming in. Rhodes and working . so when I move to kolymbia I visit every place and all those stores around the area and I was disappointed they don’t know how to make gyros the pita potatoes and meat is overall low quality and quantity.. last place I visit was “food box” and I was so amazed about chicken gyros . The best I. The area . Quality and quantity. All of those meets are fresh and not frozen great quality. Since that day I eat only from food box . Service is amazing hard working people they do their best and I am glad that I fount food box. Real professionals and respectable owner and workers, and compare to other stores around u can see the huge difference. So since then every time people ask me about gyros and fast food I tell them they do t have to go in Rhodes city, cause we are lucky we have food box “ at kolymbia. I make this comment cause people should know the truth about good food...

We passed by this restaurant one evening while looking for something to eat, and it was so delicious that we decided to come back the very next day! We had incredibly friendly service from Elisa, she was so funny and sweet. The food is fresh and tasty, if you’re looking for an authentic gyro, this is the place. We tried the pork & the chicken souvlaki, the chicken gyro and the halloumi (vegetarian) pita. Everything was delicious! We even spoke to another tourist who was staying at a 5 star hotel and told us the gyros at Foodbox were on a whole other level compared to those at his fancy hotel. The food itself is a solid 4 - the gyros pita was tasty and cheap. What made me give a 2 star rewiew is the sh.itty policy of the company to not let takeaway customers take a seat at the tables. That would somehow be justified if there had been loads of people waiting around to sit down but that was not the case here - over half of the tables were empty. And yes, the waitress still came to us to tell that we were not allowed to sit down for a bit because she will have a "problem with the receipt"? What kind of a stupid reasoning is that? I was a...
