Ristorante Pizzeria "Rosso di Sera" — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Thank you very much! Me and my (vegan) girlfriend came across this beautiful little Italian restaurant, as we spent our last week in Kolimbia, Rhodes. We were not expecting it to turn out THAT good! The staff is really friendly and very helpful in making a decision on what to eat. Since my girlfriend is vegan, she asked if it would be possible to change the salad/ pizza a little bit. Within a heartbeat the waitress (owner) asked her what she was looking for and even gave her some recommendations! Without giving her an attitude or a stupid look. She really was trying to make things work out!

On the menu it said every change will be charged at 1 euro and let me tell you, she had a lot of changes! We checked the receipt and in total it was 1 Euro charge (keep in mind she "created" her own salad, and also the pizza..) On both days we have been there, the restaurant was filled with people, young old, families and groups. We had two wonderful evenings at this restaurant. The staff, like I already mentioned, was very nice and also well organized. They didn't rush themselves because they know what product they are selling and that it's worth the small wait.

(I've been working in a high class hotel for the past few years - so I know what I'm talking about)

Wow! An absolute gem of a restaurant. Italian owned family unit, serving up perfectly cooked authentic Italian cuisine. Hands down the best and most inventive bolognaise I've ever had. Served in a home made, filled (parmesan emulsion) and rolled pasta, honestly raised the bar for that dish going forward. The carbonara my partner had was sublime. Correct ingredients (yes, no ham, actual Guancale) perfectly saucy, with the depth of flavour you dream of. We also shared a pizza from their authentic brick oven. As is the theme of this review, it came out and was an exemplary piece of work. Food aside the service was what you would expect as a customer, our little girl was provided colouring book and crayons to keep her entertained and any questions I had about the food (as an ex chef, I had a few) were met with enthusiasm. We wanted a break from greek food and decided to have pizzas as kids were craving for it. Found this place with high ratings. The restaurant is in a bit of a non descriptive place but the staff were super friendly in arranging the table for us even though we didn’t have a reservation. The pizzas were good but not exceptional. Bruschetta was ok. The tomatoes were not fresh or flavorful. We ordered Margarita and vegetarian pizza. Gnocchi and some pasta with drinks. Margarita pizza was good but vegetarian and gnocchi were a bit of hit and miss. All in all definitely a place to visit if you just want a break...
