Good Value Hotel|Great Location - perfect base to explore Rhodes town|Good breakfast |Exceptionally friendly and 24hr reception ||We were a family of 6 (grandparents, parents and 2 children age 11 and 14). Stayed in 2 room for 3 nights at approx £500 in total.||We arrived very late - circa 1am - but was no problem at all.||Yes some corridors etc looked like they had not been decorated for a while, but in second part of holiday we stay in 4 star complex and that was not much different. |Room had aircon, clean and well maintained. Small balcony and absolutely perfect location. Some say noise at night, but it is Rhodes town and things tend to be open until 1am ish. ||Some reviews also comment on breakfast. Our age groups downed from 11 to 75 and all agreed breakfast was very good. No hot food and all continental but accepting that really good quality. The Greek yoghurt in particular and fresh bread and warm non croissants and off course cake was enjoyed by us all. ||When I booked, I was sceptical based on it only being a 2 star hotel. But having stayed there, I would definitely stay again and would recommend.||You will see I do not do many reviews. The fact I was kent o put a review here and rate 5 stars I hope conveys our sentiment and experience.||Thank you to Hotel Hermes and the staff for being so hospitable and providing great value accommodation and friendly atmosphere for a family...
Read moreMy mother and I stayed at Hotel Hermes (Room 304) from August 2nd to August 3rd. After we returned home, we realized that my mother had forgotten two linen dresses (one white, one green) hanging in the wardrobe.
We immediately contacted the hotel via Booking.com, and they confirmed that the dresses were found and were in their possession. Based on this, we sent friends who were vacationing in Rhodes to collect the items on our behalf. Shockingly, they were told that there were no dresses, and they had to leave empty-handed.
This is completely unacceptable. The hotel acknowledged having the items, and then they suddenly "disappeared." Either the housekeeping staff failed to hand them in, or something else happened—but in any case, the hotel has taken no responsibility and offered no explanation.
We initially liked the hotel for its location, bright rooms, and polite receptionists, but this experience showed a serious lack of professionalism and integrity. Unfortunately, we no longer consider this hotel to be trustworthy.
I absolutely do not recommend staying at...
Read moreNow that the Aktoun Cafe is opening Monday, April 18, the Hermes Hotel has no flaws in my eyes. Located a stone’s throw from scenic Mandraki Harbor, 10 minutes from the historic old city and perched on the edge of modern Rhodes town, this friendly shelter from the storm has it all. ||||The staff is friendly, rooms cleaned daily, bountiful breakfast buffet and the resourceful and always smiling desk agent, Calliope, make you feel pampered and right at home. Rooms have a balcony overlooking the harbor, so the morning sun dramatically awakens you, rising over the Turkish coastline. Hot water is HOT and plentiful, the rooms have new wooden floors and the steps and hallways have been newly carpeted!||||Visiting in April, my room charge was €31, a value incomparable at any hotel in Rhodes. I stayed 7 days and will return for a few more nights in June. In addition ATMs are nearby and Ronda Beach Club bar and restaurant as well as Cafe Auvergne in the old city provide excellent wine and food service within a 10 minute walk. ||||I may...
