Divan Resto Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Now I come to review my experience I see that i am not the only customer who had been taken advantage of over the bill or lack of it. Bringing out 2 boots after asking for 2 large beers and being told they are one and a half pt equivilant, then when the time came to get the bill, the waiter turns up with the card machine, and no bill, waving it at me to pay! Being asked for the bill clearly didn’t sit well with him but I did get one, only to be encouraged again to pay! On examine the bill the boots were much more expensive than as described, but we did in fact drink them so I took the charge on the chin! What I realised after we left was an additional euro wax added to the final bill! My bill 56.50, charge 57.50. It’s discussing to think that a customer would be treated this way, and even more disappointing that management clearly has no problem with it, given several other customers have flagged the same dishonest transactions, but still it goes on. This place is another tourist trap…very sad that we have been in Rhodes 4 days and this is our second time we got scammed..so the waiter tried to get us in to their restaurant by telling us that there is best pasta ever! Ofcourse then we agreed and ordered one pasta bolognese and one pasta carbonara. Pasta bolognese was okay but nothing special but the carbonara was horrible there was no taste in that pasta it was very dry and unseasoned…after we ate we ordered the bill and then out of the bloom the waiter brought us 2 shots on the house and we drank the shots to be polite by their pressure…okay then the bill came and the total was 5 euros more than it should have been…so they charged 5€ extra from the shots we did not even order…very rude and not a great experience…I think these kinds of places ruins the charm of...

Coming across the restaurant by accident we thought we would stop for a few drinks. The waiter took our order and delivered the wrong drinks. It then took us over an hour to get their attention despite getting up to speak to them, waving them over etc. we had decided to have two or three drinks here but being unable to order a second drink, we asked for the bill repeatedly. We got up to leave as we had requested the bill multiple times and still couldn’t get their service attention despite it being quiet and waiters smoking cigarette after cigarette next to our table.
