review myrina beach:||First I want to thank the hotel staff and especially the animation team for making our stay remarkable and unforgettable! ||Our stay consisted of both my girlfriend and myself. And we stayed for a short week about 6 days. Unfortunately only 6 days, because we had a lot of fun and we were really sad to leave so quickly. So clearly we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel!||Location (4/5)|Myrina Beach Resort is located on the east side of the island. It's located directly next to a small town that is lively and has options for dining out, shopping and a bit of nightlife. The hotel is directly connected to the beach and has a beautiful beach with added sand and pebbles to make it more accessible. The sea is clear and has a nice created bay where a lot of fish swim if you like snorkeling. There is a renovated little Chapel on the resort which is open during the day and free to visit. The downside is that it's not really close to other tourist spots or areas and you'll need to plan your days carefully if you plan to go to other regions.||Hotel/Resort (4.5/5)|The hotel consists out of 6 buildings next to each other in an L shape adding to a total of about 274 rooms, some ground level floors have room side "private" pools. Which I would describe as a medium sized resort All seated close to the pool, a relaxed walk from room to anywhere on the resort is only a few minutes at most. The environment is kept beautiful and maintained well, full of blooming flowers and green. There is one large spacious pool, it never felt crowded. Though during our stay there weren't as many children at the hotel at that time. The pool is 1.5 meters deep everywhere. There is no lifeguard, but floats, balls and toys were allowed during our stay. Everything looks well kept and clean. There is a small shop present next to the pool with some basic needs. Though the shop does feel a bit expensive and I would recommend going out for a 10min walk to supermarkets in the city if you need to buy more groceries. ||Room (3.5/5)|Our room was located in block 3 which is in the corner of the buildings close to the chapel. The room was spacious enough, looked well cleaned on arrival and the hotel has been renovated just a year ago from what I understand so everything is in great condition and looks great. The air-conditioning works well and keeps the room a cool temperature during the hottest summer days. Room service comes by daily and does a quick sweep, change of garbage bags and towels if you want. During our stay we would have expected at least one thorough cleaning, though maybe this was due to our short stay. But it would have been nice to see the room cleaned a bit more at least once (a cleaning of mirrors and furniture and cups/glasses). I wasn't a big fan of the bed cover and sheets. They felt a bit short for the size of a double bed and it just becomes a mess. I would rather see the two mattresses made up separately to make sure the sheets and cover really fit better. The bathroom is modern and nice though there is a lack of protection against water easily splashing the entire bathroom and the floor was ever so slightly tilted towards the hallway, so water collecting would drizzle out of the bathroom to a puddle in the hallway. Understandably it's a construction error and it would be hard to fix for the hotel, so I won't really fault them. Though perhaps a small silicone strip on the floor near the door could help prevent these issues. We were also expecting a bit more storage space such as a few drawers, there is a cabinet in the room but that is the only closed storage.||Food (4/5)|I was expecting a bit more daily variety in food choice there is enough to choose from and the food hygiene and quality is very high. The dining room is spacious and there was always room to sit down for us and plenty of food. There are 3 meal times, the dining room is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Dress code is as expected for any hotel on this island. No flip-flops and no swimwear, otherwise dress as you like. There is a variety of food, though on a longer stay it might feel a bit lacking in choice. There are daily manned stations with food being cooked and served on the spot offering a variety of pasta, meats and fish. There is also a pool bar with multiple food options from fresh pita Gyros, pizza to fruits and cakes. The stay includes a free complimentary à la carte dining. Which is seated and served outside behind the pool bar area during the evening in the night sky. The location is nice and the food is great, the portions are very genrous and you'll be stuffed for at least a day. I would advise to eat a little less during the day to enjoy it all. ||Animation/Activities (5/5)|My favorite part of this stay by far
Read moreI’m writing this opinion, as I was basically the same person as you – looking for relevant and up-to-date view before deciding to choose Myrina Beach Hotel for my vacations. As you have probably noticed basing on the other reviews, the hotel seems to have nothing in common with its previous version – it has been thoroughly renovated and now looks simply impressive, following the highest standards. Therefore, let me encourage you to just ignore all the previous opinions and focus on those relevant with the hotel in its new version – I did this and definitely don’t regret it ;)
I rented the “Executive room” on the top floor, as a part of offer of travel agency. The room was quite big and comfortable, with bathroom, TV, fridge and safe. It had a balcony with the side view on the sea. However, the information about balcony on the travel agency’s page, as well as on the hotel’s website, was not satisfactory for me and it was difficult to judge its size basing just on the given photos. Therefore, I’m uploading a picture of a balcony, which is in fact very spacious - with place for 2 chairs, small table and drier for several towels on the wall. And don’t get fooled by the term of “side view on the sea” – the view is no less than great and for me it was not a problem it is not a “central” one ;)
The whole place is tidy and well-kept. Let me mention, that every day I had my room cleaned, towels replaced, garbage bins emptied, toilet paper refilled and bed made by the staff. One minor improvement point to consider is to also refill the hand and washing gel, as this was not done during my stay.
On the beach you can sit on deckchairs and enjoy your drink (alcoholic or soft) under the sunshades. There’s an easy access to the beach as there are wooden platforms, however keep in mind that the beach itself has plenty of rocks (especially straight before the shoreline), so I advise you not to go barefoot. But this is just a small inconvenience and as a reward you can get in a crystal clear water, so it’s definitely worth it :) As I was spending my holidays in the beginning of May, the temperature of the water was actually not high enough for me to jump into it – I decided just to soak my feet at the shore ;) Therefore, I had a hope, that the temperature of the water in swimming pool will be higher than in the sea, however it was quite similar as in the sea and didn’t seem to be heated enough. For me, this was actually the biggest disappointment, so I hope the staff will consider taking such an improvement point ;)
The food in the restaurant, as well as the snacks in the bar next to the pool, was simply delicious. For every meal you have a variety of dishes to choose from – hot and cold, salty and sweet ones. There’s also a vegan corner, so everybody will definitely find something interesting. Let me add an important information, according to the someone else’s opinion I found before – this person was claiming, that it is rather difficult to find any typical Greek cuisine there. Actually, this is not true – during every midday meal you could try at least one or two local dishes, like e.g. moussaka or local sausages. There also used to be some traditional sweets, like baklavas and sokolatopita cake. So, for me, this is a big point for the hotel! :)
All in all, I’m definitely satisfied with my vacations spent in the Myrina Beach Hotel. For me, it is strong 9 out of 10 points! As an addition, I’d like to mention that all the staff, as well as the very kind and friendly Boss of the hotel, who actually acts more like a real host and not a manager, do all their best to provide the highest quality of the service. Moreover, in case of any reported suggestions, they answer them and do everything to make sure the guest is satisfied.
So, as a conclusion, let me just encourage you to choose Myrina Beach Hotel – and you can be sure you won’t be disappointed! :)
PS I also found some opinions from previous months, that renting a car straight from the hotel is not profitable - it is pretty fine and affordable, so give...

Having travelled all over the world, the last two destinations being New York 5* hotel and Lanzarote 5* Resort, we can honestly say this has been the most friendly and welcoming hotel/resort we have stayed in! From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. The reception we dealt with (two blonde ladies, sorry don't know the names) were a credit to the hotel and ideal front of house staff. Continuing from there we were impressed by so many members of staff repeatedly during our one week stay. Notably, we would like to mention the others who we came to know by name; however, there were so many others that contributed to our memorable stay. Catering staff: Maria Del Mar- a more charming smile and personality you could not ask for in any team. From the beginning remembered our food preferences and accommodated our dietary requirements without prompting. Executive chef Kristos - a wealth of culinary information and happy to talk us through each dish every day. Grill and pasta chefs - so welcoming and accommodating every day. Some seriously good grilled meats/ fish and pasta dishes were rather better than some expensive Italian restaurants that I should name! Entertainment staff: We don't usually part-take in poolside activities and entertainment, but we decided for once to embrace the full resort experience! I dragged my reluctant, slightly/boring partner into the pool on the first morning for Aqua Gym with entertainment manager Atim. It was good fun, and even my partner was laughing and enjoying himself by the time it had finished. The young entertainment staff, Sophie, Lettie, Federico and Hubert, although inexperienced, they were excellent in their roles. They even organised a coach and a night out to a local club on their night off, which we enjoyed. The entire team had excellent English, among other languages and were very inclusive without imposing.
Bar open all day, all alcoholic drinks including poolside cocktails served from 12:30-22.45. Dimitri and Michaela very friendly and lovely members of staff. Dimitri very hardworking and efficient bartender, always with a smile. Even stored our particular food requirement snacks separately. Evening entertainment was varied but always fun.
Miscellaneous staff 😊 Car rental counter lady. Unfortunately, never asked her name but every morning and evening greeted us with a smile and best wishes for our days touring. N.B., we rented a car from the airport, so she is just another example of the genuinely friendly and lovely people that we have encountered here in Rhodes.
Technician who helped us break into our room, after having locked ourselves out of our room with key on the inside lock. Appeared within minutes, repaired a tap and a hinge which we had damaged. Another charming guy which gave us lots of touring tips.
Poolside shop staff: Simon and Elisavet practically became our personal tour guides. And again, just two randomly lovely people we encountered and were happy to see each day.
Cleaning staff: Two Bulgarian ladies that serviced room 254 brought a smile to our faces every day. Despite the language barrier, we enjoyed conversations on Samba, weather, tourist destinations. The hotel was spotlessly cleaned throughout with excellent precautions.
In summary, we honestly cannot recall when we were made feel so welcome by such a group of genuine friendly people. This is essentially our experience across the island but especially at Myrina Beach Hotel.
Having made a minor request regarding the bar snacks which was accommodated, we were pleasantly surprised when the resort manager introduced himself that evening to enquire if everything was to our satisfaction and to advise us if we had any requests to speak to himself directly and it would be dealt with immediately. We can both honestly say that we were impressed with the high level of service, hospitality and commitment to customer...
