Before my review - I want to thank all the staff at Oceanis park. My very special thanks again to these truly wonderful people -
Lovely Anita, Antigone & Ixan, the dynamic duo - Stamatis & Tsampikos, Theo, Namik, Asim and the pizza chef in the front/side pool snack bar, Nikolita behind reception, the incredible Carina from animation, and of course, you too, Mr Manager..
I stayed at the hotel for 10 nights last week with my mum, auntie, and 82 year old nan, for my 30th birthday. We all had a lovely time and would stay here again.
Hotel was clean and tidy - as were our rooms. Throughout our stay. Any issue whatsoever, you just need to report it to, or call reception. It will be sorted out straight away. The beds were comfy. Air con - we had no issues. As usual and quite rightly so, the air con won’t work if you have the balcony door open, or let you leave it on all day, when you’re not there. The outdated hair dryers are the same on most of the island, just take your own! Beach - we always go to Lindos or faliraki for the day.
Food - We never had an issue with the food, it was nice, always plenty of options for both breakfast & dinner. My mum is a very fussy eater, but she too enjoyed the food, always found something. My nanna and aunt loved it. For lunch I tended to go to the delicious Greek corner - theo the superstar, above the snack bar, by the main pool for my lunch, whilst my nan preferred the restaurant for lunch. We tended to go for dinner around 8pm as it was quieter, and fresh, hot, food would be coming out again. Lovely snacks at both snack bars, especially the pizza at the front/side pool bar. Desserts were nice and different mix. I wasn’t a fan of the ice creams but my nan and aunt loved them. Drinks - I found the all inclusive cocktails to be absolutely fine, good range/standard list, local equivalents to rums, gin and vodka were fine too), not sure what the previous reviews are about - premium brands and Prosecco are always extra. Although tea and coffee were only included at breakfast and lunch. My mum said the beer was okay, we all agreed that the wine wasn’t a goer.
Hotel provides everyone with a refillable bottle for their stay. There are 3 refillable water stations to the best of my knowledge, and the hotel tries its best to encourage recycling. The hotel shop is cheaper for some things, dearer for others. Just have to have a mooch about. Very lovely ladies and helpful. Ordered my tobacco and cigarettes in for me.
Con - All inclusive does end at 11pm.. (However, the bar stays open until late, and there is a supermarket next door.. plus double deuce, and other bars and restaurants within walking distance, or cab to faliraki).
Pools/loungers - Never had an issue getting a bed. Even when we got up late some days, (latest being 9:30/10am), always found spares stacked up. Okay - might not be right by the pool every day, but so what… there is the big main pool where animation is, plus the kids pool, another slimline pool, and a pool at the front/side, which is lovely and quiet. All were always clean. And hotel allows inflatables, which made a nice change.
Massage tent - I had two massages - one with each lady, and my aunt and mum also had what they said were wonderful massages. Mine was divine, and spot on time wise. And more than reasonably priced.
I received a delicious cake on my birthday, twice! From Anita in the restaurant - with a lovely birthday table for us, and in my room from Ixan. Plus, the hotel kindly let my mum decorate our 3/4 sunbeds with a banner and balloons for my 30th.
Cons: One very small lift in the main building. Only one proper accessible toilet; which was in the main restaurant, over at the back/side, and the door didn’t have a lock - No rails or raised seats in the rooms. However, we stayed here as my Nan can no longer get in/climb over a bath - this is one of the few hotels with a walk in shower - important to say that the staff did go out of their way to accommodate my Nan and help her.
Wonderful time. Wonderful memories...

ROOM Let’s get one thing straight: the rooms are not 4-star standard. They’re average at best. Housekeeping does the bare minimum — they make the bed and change towels, but that’s about it. Floors didn’t see a mop or broom all week, and the tea/coffee station was inconsistently stocked. One day you’d get coffee but no sugar, the next sugar but no milk — like playing roulette with your morning brew. The wardrobe is decently sized, but there’s very limited storage elsewhere. The bathroom? Tiny. Laughably small. Two people getting ready at once is basically a wrestling match. The bed was comfortable but slid away from the wall every time we moved — ridiculous. Pillows were overly stuffed, so stick to one unless you like neck pain. Fridge doesn’t get remotely cold — useless if you’ve got medication to store. The refillable water bottle they provide? Covered in black mold around the seal. Took one sip, tasted it instantly, and shoved it back in the fridge, untouched for the rest of the stay. Bring your own bottle if you value your health. The balcony had a decent sea view, but the furniture was cheap and flimsy. Worst part? We weren’t told that evening entertainment is hosted right under the sea-view rooms — so forget getting to sleep early. If rest is your goal, book a pool-view or swim-up room instead.
FOOD Mediocre. Acceptable at the start of our stay, but it nosedived hard by the end. Breakfast and lunch became painfully repetitive — salad and pasta every day unless you want overcooked, dried-out meat. The pizza? Cold and completely flavorless. Desserts? Basically cream in various shapes. Restaurant staff were lovely — efficient and kind. Sadly, that’s more than I can say for most of the other staff. One guy at the pizza bar stood out for all the wrong reasons. Rude, aggressive, and honestly pathetic. He shouted at me — in Greek — for picking up the “wrong” piece of cardboard for the pizza, even though they’re both the same. Then I heard him make a disgusting sexist comment to a woman ahead of me. That man needs to be disciplined or fired. I didn’t bother complaining — the general attitude among staff was so indifferent, I doubt anyone would’ve cared. The grill station, thankfully, was a highlight. The woman running it was quiet but kind — she actually deserved the tips we gave.
BAR Drinks were decent. All-inclusive options were solid, and paid cocktails were affordable and tasty. Coffee? Not great, but manageable. Staff? A mixed bag. One young guy at the Naturalis Bar was polite and professional. Lobby bar guys were fine too. But then there’s the female bartender who literally shouted “I don’t understand” at my partner on day one. Great welcome. Half the staff seemed more interested in scrolling their phones than doing their jobs, and when you did ask for a drink, they acted like it was the biggest inconvenience in the world. If you hate serving people, maybe hospitality isn’t for you.
POOLS The pools are clean — I’ll give them that. But people shamelessly reserve loungers at 6 AM, despite signs saying not to. Of course, the hotel does nothing to enforce it. By 9 AM, good luck finding a spot near the main or front pools. The infinity pool still had space, but the water is freezing — borderline unusable. There was one massive family that took over every lounger by the infinity pool one morning — all 12 of them. Not the hotel’s fault, but the staff could have intervened. If you're coming with kids, the main pool is fine. If you're an adult trying to relax, stick to the infinity pool — assuming you can actually find a seat.
FINAL THOUGHTS We paid over £3,000 for this trip, and it was absolutely not worth it. The hotel is a massive letdown — disorganized, poorly managed, and lacking any real hospitality. Aside from a few kind individuals, the staff were apathetic, rude, or just straight-up unprofessional. I wouldn’t come back even if it was free. Save your money — and your patience — and book literally...
Read moreI am not sure this is the 4 star hotel we were sold. Some may like it but unfortunately due to the experience on the first night we will not be returning. We had a room change due to problems with our first room. However, this room change was thanks to our TUI rep Ibrahim who spoke to reception to resolve our issue. We checked in and found the room to be extremely dirty (blood smeared on the matress, dirty shower and some unidentified stains on the curtains) we had also requested a higher up room and got a room on the bottom floor. I completely understand that not all requests can be acted on but being given the bottom floor was surely not the only option? As soon as we got in the room and saw the issues I went back to reception who suddenly told me they couldn't understand me. There was a man behind reception (never saw him again) who was so rude and very aggressive due to us having an issue. Ultimately no resolution and by 1am we were told its that room or no room and come back tomorrow when they will try to resolve. I didn't sleep well that night as felt my skin crawling knowing how dirty the room was. Next day we were told there was no resolution and again it's that room or no room and try again each day. Knowing this was going to be a recurring theme we spoke to the Tui rep Ibrahim who went and spoke to the reception. Like magic they now had a room available! I think reception need to do more for situations like this as it really did feel like pulling teeth and I couldn't have spent another night in that room I would have rather gone home it was that bad. Was an awful start to the holiday. Moved room and this time the bed was clean so it was a massive relief, the curtains also stained so maybe something they need to look at cleaning. We did get an upgrade as an apology but this felt like it was the doing of Tui as opposed to a gesture of the hotel who didn't want to move us in the first place. Food Snack bar near the main pool was okay but nothing special. The lady in there was always pleasant but the chips etc were always cold, even if you get there when it first opens they were cold which was a shame. The pizza corner in terms of food was amazing the Pizzas were gorgeous but... the man working there was very rude and made inappropriate sexist comments and in the end my partner got my pizza so I didn't need to go near him. I will also say the pizza was amazing but ran out quickly and weren't replenished quickly so a lot of the time it was empty, which is a shame as we would have liked more. The restaurant was amazing I couldn't fault it at all. The chicken wings on Mexican night and the Chinese night in particular were amazing. The staff in there were very attentive and polite couldn't speak highly enough of them. The main restaurant is the best part of this hotel! Other bits of note -Maintenance man absolutely lovely and very helpful as needed safe opened twice but was no bother for him. He also fixed our air con very quickly when it started throwing ice out. If you have issues here and travelled with Tui contact your rep, Ibrahim is an asset to Tui! The lift is tiny, you can fit two maybe three at once and the door slams shut on people (me and my partner both victims of this and seen many others almost knocked over by it). The fridge in the room wasn't very cold so just a note for anyone with medication that needs to be kept cool it's not the best facilities for them. The parasols are soooo hard to put up, it seems to take two. The staff were good at helping when they saw someone struggling but not ideal to struggle with this if you're on your own. Luckily the drinks aren't strong or I'd...
