I recently had the pleasure of dining at Le Gourmet restaurant in Ialysos, and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This hidden gem deserves every bit of its five-star rating! The first thing that struck me about Le Gourmet was the warm and cozy atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into a charming, rustic haven. The soft lighting, tasteful decor, and intimate seating arrangement created the perfect ambiance for a memorable evening. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Now, let's talk about the food. I was blown away by the culinary delights that Le Gourmet has to offer. The menu is a testament to the chef's dedication to creating exceptional dishes. Each bite was a burst of flavor and a work of art on the plate. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were expertly balanced. Whether you're a fan of seafood, meat, or vegetarian options, Le Gourmet has something to satisfy every palate. Be sure to save room for dessert; their sweet creations are absolutely divine!!!!! What truly set Le Gourmet apart, though, was the personal service. Mrs. Mary and her daughter Kalia (and the cat Stavroula) were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to make recommendations, answer questions, and ensure that every guest's needs were met. This personalized touch added an extra layer of enjoyment. Le Gourmet restaurant in Rhodes is a true culinary gem that offers a cozy and friendly atmosphere, excellent food, and top-notch personal service. Whether you're a local looking for a dependable dining spot or a traveler in search of a memorable gastronomic experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I can't wait to return to savor more of their exquisite dishes and warm hospitality. A five-star dining experience in every sense...
Read moreLe Gourmet is the kind of place you leave feeling content with life -and a stomach full with quality homemade ingredients. It’s quietly tucked behind a bustling street and has the kind of quaint atmosphere that is reminiscent of your grandmother’s porch on a summer evening. It’s a family run business with both mother and daughter at the helm. At the advice of our lovely host Maria (the daughter), we tried the Greek family way of eating - meaning dishes that come 1 by 1, fresh out of the oven and meant for sharing. We were especially excited to try the freshly baked breads. It was then that we honestly tasted the best olive bread we’ve ever had (more on that later) - we then moved on to baked eggplant, feta with spiced peppers, a gorgeous Greek salad, and meatballs with a very fresh tasting tomato sauce. For the main, we split incredibly fresh giant prawns and mussel pasta, prawns with garlic sauce - and the most buttery fresh sea bass you can imagine. The kind of fish that you leave and dream about coming back to have again. Every meal was thoughtfully done - and every element the freshest you can get on the market that day. Oh! And not to forget the desserts - if you’re a dessert fan, this is the place. We had a wonderful cream based pie, and then additionally a lemon / honey cake that we can’t stop thinking about - Lastly I want to mention that the mother / daughter team were kind enough to arrange a drop off of fresh olive bread for us at our hotel. I don’t believe we have ever experienced such kindness while traveling. To this cherished business, we once again thank you for your kindness and we are so grateful that we could celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday with you. We will...
Read moreWe were looking for a traditional Greek restaurant within the tourism area and we found it! This place is not directly at the street and nobody wants to pull you in and there are no pictures of food outside. So it is really different to all the other places there. It is a family owned restaurant and the service is done by the owner Maria and her daughter who are both lovely. The prices are more than fair, we payed 63€ for four starters, two main courses, one dessert, four glasses of wine and two Ouzo. You can order from the menue or do it the "Greek way". If you choose the Greek way, you can tell Maria what you like and what not (cheese, vegetables, meat, fish, seafood) and she creates a nice mix for two or more people. The food was Soo delicious and really traditional Greek. We got so much food that we unfortunately had to leave something on the plates. The restaurant is quiet, away from the street, nice decorated and we stayed there for more than 2 hours. 100%...
