We booked a Deluxe Bungalow Suite with Private Pool for four nights in July and had very high expectations after reading most of the reviews on Google, Tripadvisor and Booking.com. It was a great pleasure of getting to agree with all the positive reviews, this hotel is excellent even though we are very used to staying in five star resorts around the world.||We had a couple of minor issues on arrival - due to some misunderstanding the driver booked through the hotel (but not hotel staff) was not at the airport at the right time and I thought the air conditiniong could have been more efficient after the first night. However we were very pleased with our bungalow, it was exactly as pictured on the hotel’s website and possibly even slightly better (pool bigger etc).||On our first morning on the way to the excellent breakfast we met Athena (hope the spelling is right!), whom I understood to be the customer service manager of the hotel. She had the habit of touring the hotel grounds for about 10 hours each day (even weekends) speaking to guests, finding out if there’s anything to be improved and most importantly acting based on the feedback. This kind of service we had not experienced anywhere else on our journeys. She already knew about the problems with the inbound transportation and promised (and kept it) a reasonable compensation for it and promised a technician would have a look at the air conditioning. Soon we noticed her taking a technician to our bungalow (she seemed to have a habit of joining the technician, probably to make sure the issue is resolved properly) and after that returning to explain to us what the problem was (a fuse). A very good example of how to properly address your guests’ issues (there will almost always be some issues when staying in a hotel, what matters is how they are dealt with).||As mentioned the a’la carte breakfast was of very high quality and the setting next to the sea excellent. We did not have a chance to try the dinner, but most likely it is as good as mentioned in other reviews. The drinks were fabulous, very high quality and reasonably priced with regards the quality. We also liked the snacks etc at the pool, all high quality and quickly delivered.||What was quite special at this hotel was observing all the staff do their work so well - as well as each individual could, not just the minimum effort to get the job done. Something has clearly been done right in recruiting and training the employees and keeping them motivated even though they worked long hours in the busiest season of the year.||The location of the hotel is quite handy, 15 minutes drive from the airport and a similar trip with a car/bus to Rhodes center. Also many restaurants nearby, however as mentioned in many other reviews, the hotel’s restaurant is probably the best in the area.||We will definitely be going back...
Read moreWe booked this hotel nearly a year in advance with high hopes, but our experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful from the moment we arrived.||||When we checked in, we were placed in a room directly opposite the staff service cupboard. While the room technically had a window, we were forced to keep the curtain shut at all times for privacy. Throughout the day, we could hear staff coughing, dragging hoovers out, and making noise just outside the door -far from the peaceful holiday setting we expected.||||After raising concerns, we were moved, but the situation was handled poorly. The cleaners acted unprofessionally and made us feel uncomfortable when they learned we were unhappy with the original room.||||The layout of the hotel itself is also problematic. To reach our room or the main pool, we had to navigate slippery slopes or, unbelievably, climb down a wall. There is no proper accessible route, which is completely unacceptable—especially for my mother, who has mobility challenges.||||The room we were moved to had a strong damp smell from the beginning, which we originally thought was from the air conditioning. However, after three days, we discovered visible mould on the wall—right next to the sofa bed prepared for my daughter. When I pulled the bed away from the wall, I found a cockroach behind it. It was both shocking and deeply concerning from a health and hygiene perspective.||||The noise levels have been constant and disruptive. At night, we've had extremely loud neighbours knocking on each other’s doors and shouting in the corridors, which makes it nearly impossible to rest.||||The gym is another disappointment—most of the equipment is broken or completely unusable, making the facility pointless.||||We no longer feel comfortable or safe staying here and are actively seeking to leave early.||||To make matters worse, although the hotel agreed to a full refund, they have only attempted to refund €50 so far—and even asked us not to leave a review in return for a full...
Read moreRead moreWaiters are all amazing and super helpful|- Rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday (housekeeping are also lovely & accommodating)|- We stayed in a room with a pool for half the week and then moved to a grand suite (which we had originally booked) because of a rooming issue which was sorted out by the lovely liaison lady and we were compensated for the annoyance. Both rooms were spacious and beautiful.|- Hotel restaurant and bar were top tier. Food in restaurant was outstanding. Wish there was a more extensive menu but highly recommend the Pappardelle and the beef tagliata. |- If breakfast is included in your stay then you can choose an unlimited amount of food from their a la carte menu. Omelettes, bruschetta, pancakes, yoghurts, savouries, sweets. Breakfast was awesome. Time for breakfast was 9-12 which was ideal for the kind of holiday we were having. On the one day we had to be out early the hotel provided us with packed breakfast the night before. |- The pool was super clean and cool. Even though the hotel/pool was open to anyone, beds were always available/reserved for hotel guests. Beds were very comfy and adjustable. Bar staff always around to bring drinks/food. Towels changed everyday. |- The sea is very close, 2 mins from the pool and it was safe to leave our things by the pool while we were in the sea. |- Rhodes new town was our favourite area for food. It was quieter than old town and less touristy. Traverso Italiano Avocado/Christo’s bar were our faves. |- In Old Town we liked Il Borgo for pasta. Old town was romantic and beautiful but most restaurants are gimmicky. |- Recommend visiting Symi island with the tour shop next to the hotel. Beautiful views and quite the climb to the top. ||- The only criticism I have of this hotel is that there is loud music playing for the majority of the day. Tunes were fun but when you just want to relax and read this wasn’t ideal. I wish there had been a few hours in the day (maybe morning) where no/quieter music...
