Gongis Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Southern Corfu

We traveled with our 2 children and enjoyed a wonderful stay. We saught a quiet, clean and nice place with sandy beach within short walking distance. This property met our requirements. It has a very good location, in the middle of the resort and close to the beach. There are actually more beaches nearby and we tried them all. They are really good with clear water and not overcrowded. ||The studio was very good and quite big (except the bathroom). You can drink your coffee on the balcony (or terrace on the ground floor) and there is also a string for drying wet clothes. Don't expect luxury, the amenities are not new but everything works (including AC which was necessary) and we had all we needed. ||Housekeepers provide clean towels, linen, toilet paper and even wash the floor regularly. Trash bin is collected every day. Of course there were a few things that could be improved (we would appreciate some shelves in the closet as we had many clothes, wifi sometimes drops, and we needed to push a bit too hard to close the door), but nothing we would not be able to live with. Also be prepared for the mosquitos. We lit a candle in the room and sprayed some repelent on the curtains to discourage them from getting to the room, and it worked well.||Beautiful garden was a big bonus. It was very nice to sit and eat in the shadow under the trees on a hot day. Our son also enjoyed the treehouses and the hammocks. ||The owners are very kind and helpful. Spyros is always there when you need something (provide info, book a taxi, call a fisherman to get you fresh fish :)), thanks to him again.||In summary, this place provides a family-like atmosphere and a very good value for reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate...

Hello guys, |The Gongis Studios are wonderful for family holidays.| In studios are 3 beds, small kitchenette with cooker, microwave, plates, pots, pans, small glasses ( rather bring bigger for a tea or coffee ) cutlery and kettle, of course. You need to wash the clothes in the sink, put them on the lines ( pegs are there as well ) . |Studios are very spacious, with air conditioning, decent wardrobes, front- back doors. | Wifi is pretty slow, but it's a standard at Corfu. |Studios are a few minutes from the south beaches, you can choose, which ones are more stunning. The place is very quiet, but really close to sea side walkway- with a few supermarkets and restaurants.| It's not a typical walkway, you won't find here art shops or the guy who makes 'statue' or sort your hair into plaited afro. But it's a cute- local one, with everything you need, including doctor, restaurants,bars, booking places ei.| Gongis Studios have really fantastic space in front of them. You can find the shadows there, tables for lunches, dinners, hammocks, fruit- needle trees, professionally mastered together wit FANTASY character. You forget all your petty problems here without doubt.| Please, watch for mosquitoes, there are everywhere! The doors doesn't have moscquito nets, so be aware,ask locas for tricks to get rid of it. |Studios were great for price! And after romantic sunset you can see there stars like in real Stars Observatory. If I go to Corfu, I will definitely visit...

What a great place this is, Spiro is just wonderful, helpful, happy to help out or have chat, the studio was ok, what you would expect from a budget hotel, but you want anything ask Spiro. The beds are superior to the usual “ budget “ hotels, the rooms are clean and tidy, if a little dated, but don’t be put off, I have been to Corfu several times and stayed in hotels from the Corfu Palace Corfu Town to luxury apartments in Corfu Town as well as other budget hotels, none match this place. The beach is close by, either rocky and isolated even though 150m away or sandy with sun beds 250m away, all within easy walking distance, but the star of these apartment is the garden, with its hammocks, sun beds, tables and chairs for outside eating, or the two tree houses all ideal for relaxing especially after a couple of hours on the beach, there was even talk of b b q. although maybe in height of season. The WiFi is ok, I found i had problem on my iPad but my mobile was fine without any problems. I would certainly give 10/10 and would definitely come back here. Where am I writing this, why in the tree house, sipping glass of wine amongst the fur...
