A Birthday and Engagement to Remember – Perfect Stay at El Verano Suites

Staying at El Verano Suites in Santorini was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Not only did I celebrate my birthday here, but we also marked our recent engagement—and the team made both occasions incredibly special.

From the very start, their hospitality was unmatched. They allowed us to check in early and check out late, arranged seamless transportation to and from the ferry port, and even organized a four-wheeler rental that was dropped off and picked up directly at the property.

The suite itself is a beautiful cave-style home, filled with character and plenty of space. It was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully prepared with everything we could need: strong air conditioning, a generous welcome spread including ham, cheese, eggs, two types of bread, apple and orange juice, two coffee makers, and a bottle of exceptional local Santorini white wine.

But what truly touched us was their personal touch. For my birthday, they surprised me with a delicious birthday cake. And to celebrate our engagement, they gifted us a second bottle of wine—a gesture that meant so much and made our stay feel incredibly personal and heartfelt.

One of the highlights was enjoying the breathtaking views from our private terrace and relaxing in the hot tub, taking in the serene beauty of Santorini in total comfort.

Having two small children going on vacation is an adventure to say at least. But what great a great choose we made come to el verano! We booked the cactus suits, which consisted of three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Everything was spotless, clean and amazing! The rooms oh my God amazing like fancy caves carved in a rock! The kitchen fully equipped with anything you might need, toaster, grill, many pots, glasses etc. they provide breakfast, eggs, bread, jam, honey, cereal, milk. There is a supermarket close by to shop what we else you need. The view, unabstracted , the pool amazing with an intimate view. The cleaning ladies quick, precise and friendly! And now about the hostess. Oh my God what an amazing hostess Konstantina was! Upon our arrival she provided us with the best wine I’ve ever tasted! She explains everything in detail and provided us with many information about where to eat where to see the sunset without having to go through crowds. You want a car? You go to her. El Verano Suites are incredible and I mean incredible, from the welcome that Sokratis & his sister give, to the quality of the suite and everything the place has to offer. The views are stunning as the sun rises and the place is so clean and tidy. Breakfast, water and coffee are replaced quicker that you could ever use them and the daily housekeeping is to a high standard and is always done whilst your out and if not politely fitted around your day if your staying on site. ||The location is also perfect for travelling around the island as it’s close to Fira and everything else is no more than 15 minutes drive away. The location is quiet and looks out to sea. ||As for the boring bits, but for some a must, the Wi-Fi is excellent, these a 5G signal here and there’s Aircon in each room. The kitchen is well equipped with hob and microwave as well as coffee makers.
