Santorini Weddings by Dana Villas — Attraction in Municipality of Thira

Unfortunately had a really bad experience. Booked the Cave Pool Package for my wedding and had numerous issues. There’s no WiFi in the cave pool room, you need to sit on the balcony to get signal. There’s black mould on the ceiling at the entrance of the cave pool which staff insist is normal but won’t clean it daily. As part of the cave pool package we were meant to have breakfast in our room and the room decorated on the wedding night. They insisted we have breakfast at the bottom of the stairs at Orkos, and when we insisted we wanted it in our room they reluctantly said they will do it complimentary after our wedding night - it’s not complimentary we paid for it. The room was not decorated on the wedding night, they had multiple contradictory excuses why it was not done: they had supplier issues, they don’t normally do decorations on the wedding night (despite the contract explicitly saying it’s included ON THE WEDDING NIGHT), they felt we might be too tired so decided we shouldn’t have decoration on the wedding night but didn’t communicate this to us. The organisation is bad. They request you email in your feedback but they don’t care once they have been paid. The wedding food we paid €1800 I have attached photos, it was salty, cold, and badly presented.

Once we complained they tried to cram in services to tick box them as done. Whilst trying to explain the issues to staff, we received the response “although there have been many mistakes you’ll still get what’s in the contract”. There were too many mistakes to ignore. We eloped at Dana Villas and stayed in the cave pool villa, and I truly can’t say enough good things, especially about Eirini, our wedding planner. She felt like a real-life maid of honor. From the very beginning, she was so responsive, kind, patient, and incredibly organized. I’m super Type A and detail-obsessed, and still felt completely at ease knowing she was handling everything. On the wedding day, she was there the entire time making sure it all went smoothly. It felt like having a friend by my side.

The wedding venue itself was absolutely gorgeous with the most amazing views, and they had so much staff on hand taking care of us and any little thing we needed. It felt like they thought of everything before we even had to ask.

The rest of the Dana Villas team was just as wonderful. Anastasia, the concierge, was so kind and helpful. Anytime we needed anything, they were quick to assist and made us feel so taken care of. The cave pool villa was absolutely stunning. We also had the floating dinner experience, which was absolutely beautiful. The view was gorgeous, and the food at Orkos was amazing. We also had a couples massage at Soma Spa that was included in our package. My husband, who normally doesn’t even like massages, actually loved it and felt so relaxed. My husband and I got married here on 18.09.2022 and stayed in the beautiful Master Pool Suite as part of the package for 3 nights. It was absolutely AMAZING, we have never stayed anywhere like it! The staff are just incredible and so friendly and look after you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, and make you feel so very special. The breakfast was gorgeous, the views are next to none, and the thoughtful lovely things the staff do just add to the amazing experience. As for the wedding day itself, it was just magical and that was all down to the efficiency of Dana Villas and their lovely, attentive staff and wedding team.
